| | It was observed that Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of PHOENIX SURPRISE was dislodged from his mount approaching 900 Metres as he was severely interfered between STATESMAN (G Sai Vamshi) and GRIFFIN (Anjar Alam). An enquiry was held on 10th January, 2021 by the Stipendiary Steward for the above race into the interference caused by Jockey Anjar Alam on his mount GRIFFIN in that he shifted ?in? and caused severe interference to PHOENIX SURPRISE (Ryan Marshall) on his inside, whereby Jockey Ryan Marshall was dislodged from his mount approaching 900 Metres. Jockey Anjar Alam was interviewed by the Stipendiary Steward. The Stipendiary Steward after considering the submissions made by Jockey Anjar Alam and after viewing the CCTV decided to charge Jockey Anjar Alam for Dangerous Riding. The Stipendiary Steward thereafter suspended the Jockey?s Licence granted to Anjar Alam with effect from 20th January, 2021 to 13th February, 2021 (both days inclusive) as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Dangerous Riding on his mount GRIFFIN (he was permitted to ride work) and was informed of his right to appeal. |
