At the conclusion of the enquiry, it was established that approaching the 1000 metres, b f ZOYA broke down dislodging Jockey P Trevor. Jockey Akshay Kumar (CLIFFHANGER) travelling behind ZOYA had to take evasive action and switched his mount ?outwards?. However, Jockey Y S Srinath (APSARA STAR), travelling in 3rd position, in his effort to avoid running on to the dislodged Jockey P Trevor, ran into ZOYA unbalancing himself and eventually being dislodged from APSARA STAR. As the fall was accidental, ?all clear? signal was ordered to be hoisted. Both Jockeys P Trevor and Y S Srinath escaped unhurt. |
