Grand Forest	GRAND FOREST (Sandeep Rajput) and AMARANTHUS (Prashant P Dhebe) were slow to begin.

El Cid	Jockey Sandeep Rajput, the rider of EL CID, was reprimanded for failing to maintain a straight course during the concluding stages of the race.
Panchovilla	PANCHOVILLA (S John) was squeezed for room due to the crowding of the field approaching the 1400 metres.
Mariska	Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of MARISKA, reported that his mount was inclined to hang ‘in’ during the final stages of the race.

Sicario	Jockey Mohit Singh, the rider of SICARIO, was reprimanded for shifting ‘in’ approaching the 800 metres resulting in SWARAJ (App R S Bhati) travelling along the rails having to be momentarily checked by its rider.
My Lady Luck	MY LADY LUCK (Sandeep Rajput), DEVOTION (Prashant P Dhebe) and MALANA (C S Jodha) were fractious while being stalled.

Tough Enough	TOUGH ENOUGH (Sk Zaffar Riaz) was fractious while being stalled.
Bournville	BOURNVILLE (C Alford) was fractious in its stall.
Kaartiken	KAARTIKEN (App Rupal Singh) which was extremely fractious in its stall was slow to begin. In view of its behaviour Tr. Jasbir Singh was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

Invincible Prince	INVINCIBLE PRINCE (C Alford) was extremely fractious while being stalled. In view of its behaviour Tr. J E Mckeown was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.
Bang Bang	BANG BANG (N S Parma) was fractious while being stalled.
Knighthood	KNIGHTHOOD (App Ranidan Singh) was slow to begin.
Falcon	FALCON (Zarar Alam) finished off the race detached from the field. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was advised not to accept with the gelding until it was capable of a better performance.

Arvak	On the morning of Sunday, 1st October, 2017, b g ARVAK, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be lame on right fore. Under the circumstances the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Patrick Quinn was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Celtic King	CELTIC KING (Vinay Jaiswal) was fractious while being stalled.
Adzukis	ADZUKIS (B L Paswan) was fractious in its stall.

dk b m UPTOWN GIRL (Jugnu Gurung) dislodged its rider on its way to the start and bolted around the course. The mare on being captured was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders.

Apalachee

b c APALACHEE (S John) was extremely fractious in its stall and in the process sustained cut injuries on left hock. Under the circumstances the colt was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. Patrick Quinn was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer and shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.
