1	(166)	THE ROMANOV RED `CHASE YOUR PASSION` CHALLENGE (DIV-II) A Handicap for Horses rated 1 TO 26	1200M

King's Troop	Trainer Himmat Singh was questioned with regard to the improved performance of his charge KING’S TROOP. The Trainer stated that in the previous run the horse had raced over 1000 metres which was too short and the horse was improving in the last part. On an advice from App Ishwar Pardeshi, he had run the horse over an extended trip this time which has suited the horse. He added that he had not fancied the horse in this race. The explanation was noted.
Suzy Wong	The explanation of Jockey M Narredu (SUZY WONG) that his mount did not gallop in the early part of the race and did not hold the bit was noted. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Above All	After the race, ABOVE ALL was found to be sound, having an abrasion on the left hock
Dancing Money	Relying on a report from the Sr.V.O. that DANCING MONEY was declared with All Four Aluminium but on examination was found to have Both Fore Aluminium, Hind Bare, Trainer DJ Surti has been fined Rs.2000/ for declaring incorrect shoeing.
Gold Vault	Passing 1000 metres, GOLD VAULT (H.G.Rathod) was inconvenienced and eased up when placed behind the heels of ABOVE ALL (Nadeem Alam) who shifted in as ONUS PROBANDI (S.N.Chavan) shied away towards the inside due to the presence of ACCURIZE (App.M.A.Roushan) on her outside. Approaching 400 metres, GOLD VAULT (H.G.Rathod) was hampered from its rightful running and was checked as ACCURIZE (App.M.A.Roushan) shifted in. App.M.A.Roushan stated that the horse had broken a blood vessel and had lost its balance for a few strides and shifted in. However, the Apprentice has been cautioned for failing to exhibit proper control over his mount.
Onus Probandi	At the start, ONUS PROBANDI (S.N.Chavan) jumped out awkwardly. GYPSY QUEEN (Imran Chisty) also jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and went on to DANCING MONEY (Zameer Sayyed).
Nuncio	NUNCIO (S.P.Ranjane) reared up as the start was given and lost about 2 lengths at the start.
Accurize	After the race, ACCURIZE was found to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Ashwa Prahar	After the race, ASHWA PRAHAR was found to be going short by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

Culcrieff	An Objection was lodged by Jockey C.Rajendra, rider of CULCRIEFF (placed second) against App.S.Zervan, the rider of ORADA (placed first) for not correcting his mount in the last 100 metres, bumping and pushing him inside, taking his ground and not allowing him to keep a straight course and also keeping his whip in the right hand and ruining his horse’s momentum which cost him a certain race. After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned as also Trainer Narendra Lagad, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their observation of the incident, the Stewards decided to overrule the Objection. After the race, CULCRIEFF was found to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Their Lil Sister	THEIR LIL SISTER (S.A. De Sousa) raced keenly in the early part of the race and tossed her head around. Near 300 metres, THEIR LIL SISTER (S.A. De Sousa) shifted in under use of the whip and inconvenienced UPROAR (R.Shelar). Jockey SA De Sousa has been cautioned for shifting ground. After the race, THEIR LIL SISTER, BALLAD OF GLORY, MISCHEVIOUS Z & PRINCE OF TROY were found to be sound.
Prince Of Troy	Jockey M Narredu (PRINCE OF TROY) reported loss of his whip near 200 metres from the Winning Post.
Sign Of Love	After the race, SIGN OF LOVE was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Any Time Money	At the start, ANY TIME MONEY (P Sandeep) and SIGN OF LOVE (JE Pereira) jumped out awkwardly.

3	(168)	THE UNITED SPIRITS CHALLENGE A Handicap for Horses rated 60 TO 86	1000M

Highland Flame	HIGHLAND FLAME (Imran Chisty) was held up for a clear run for a few strides, approaching the 200 metres.
Our Fortune	OUR FORTUNE (B.Prakash) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race After the race, OUR FORTUNE was observed to have an abrasion on the left hip. BELLA was found to be sound.
Hereafter	At the start, HEREAFTER (Suraj Narredu) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and went on to OUR FORTUNE (B.Prakash). ROYAL CROWN (Dashrath Singh) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and went on to BELLA (App.D.S.Rathore).
Polariser	POLARISER (R.P.Cleary) was slow in the strides, losing about 2 lengths at the start.
Royal Crown (O)	After the race, ROYAL CROWN was found to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
Bella	BELLA (App.D.S.Rathore) brushed the rails while negotiating the bend and also in the straight. BELLA (App.D.S.Rathore) was inconvenienced in the last 200 metres when ROYAL CROWN (Dashrath Singh) shifted in. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

Numismatist	Jockey Y.S.Srinath (NUMISMATIST) reported that his mount stumbled and lost its position soon after the start.
Stalker	After the race, RIVER MINSTREL was observed to have an abrasion on the left hip.

Sea Shower	SEA SHOWER (Imran Chisty) kept an erratic course in the straight. Near 400 metres, SEA SHOWER (Imran Chisty) lugged in and inconvenienced FORWARD CHARGE (M.Narredu) who in turn lost his position and in the process hampered RED TABASCO (C.Alford) who was following. .
Ancient Wonder	Trainer Mansoor Shah and Apprentice M.A.Roushan were questioned regarding the running and riding of ANCIENT WONDER. Trainer Mansoor Shah stated that this was the maiden run of the horse and he had instructed the Apprentice to be well up. App.M.A.Roushan explained that his horse was slow and then did not raise an effective gallop and he had pulled the horse out while negotiating the bend and rode out as instructed. Trainer Mansoor Shah stated that he had asked the Apprentice to be well up and not to get into traffic problems and therefore to come from the outside of the field. The Trainer opined that the Apprentice should have made effort to stay in touch with the field. He added that he had worked the horse enough and had given the horse grass gallop in the morning. The Apprentice explained that he was niggling at the horse but the horse did not show any improvement. Not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by App.M.A.Roshan, he has been severely cautioned for riding an Incompetent race.
Nymph	Jockey Martin Dawyer (NYMPH) and Jockey C.S.Jodha (SAFFRON) reported loss of their whips near 400 metres and 200 metres respectively.
National Ikon	Approaching 400 metres, NATIONAL IKON (S.Sunil) commenced to shift out under use of the whip and carried NYMPH (Martin Dwyer) outwards. Jockey S Sunil has been fined Rs.2,000/ for improper use of the whip.
Calypso Dancer	After the race, CALYPSO DANCER was observed to have an abrasion on the left hip. ANCIENT WONDER, SEA SHOWER & SPLENDID SECRET were found to be sound.
Voices Of Angels	Jockey Samuel Fargeat (VOICES OF ANGELS) reported that his mount was uncomfortable in the final 400 metres and he had to stop riding. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the filly and he reported that no abnormality was detected.
Saffron	After the race, SAFFRON was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

6	(171)	THE BOUVET-LADUBAY CHAMPIONSHIP A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 66	2000M

Born Special (05)	After the race, BORN SPECIAL was observed to have an abrasion on both the hind fetlocks. TRACK THUNDER was found to be sound.
Track Thunder	TRACK THUNDER (S.A. De Sousa) and INDIAN SUMMER (D.K.Ashish) were slow in the stride, losing about 2 lengths at the start. Near 500 metres TRACK THUNDER (S.A.De Sousa) was inconvenienced while racing between CAMBIASSO (C.D.Hayes) on the outside and DOI MOI (Neeraj Rawal) on the inside.

7	(172)	THE BLACK DOG TROPHY A Handicap for Horses rated 80 & ABOVE	1200M

Arts	A Stewards’ Enquiry was held in this race. The reason being that it appeared that ARTS (Y.S.Srinath, placed first) had shifted in passing 600 metres and tightened BLUE DANUBE (C.D.Hayes) who in turn shifted in and caused interference to SPITZ (App.P.Trevor). The Stewards interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after having heard the submission and relying on their own judgement, decided to maintain the Order of Placing as declared by the Judge. The Stewards felt that possibly ARTS had put in a couple of awkward strides as the rig changed its lead and possibly Jockey C.D. Hayes (BLUE DANUBE) anticipated the inward movement and reacted more than required instead of handling his mount.
Schnell(O)	Passing 1000 metres, SCHNELL (N.G.McCullagh) shifted in and tightened RED INDIAN (Imran Chisty) who in turn caused interference to SPITZ (App.P.Trevor) who dropped back and in doing so, tightened BLUE DANUBE (C.D.Hayes) who had no room to maneuver as the filly was tightened on to FORBES LIST (Neeraj Rawal) who had shifted in when ARES (S.A.De Sousa) shifted in as the gelding was being settled. Jockey N.G.McCullagh has been fined Rs.3000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Forbes List	FORBES LIST (Neeraj Rawal) played up in the stall. The gelding was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. who certified him fit to race. Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Blue Danube	At the Start, SPITZ (App.P.Trevor) jumped out awkwardly. BLUE DANUBE (C.D.Hayes) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and went on to ROMANTIC IMPACT (Samuel Fargeat) who in turn made contact with FORBES LIST (Neeraj Rawal). After the race, BLUE DANUBE was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind bulb of heel and had lost its left hind plate, ROMANTIC IMPACT had an abrasion on the right hind coronet & LAGO MEDIO had an abrasion on the right shank. FORBES LIST was found to be sound.

8	(173)	THE KUNIGAL STUD BREEDERS` PRODUCE STAKES (GR.3) TERMS - 3 years old only	1400M

No More Politics	After the race, ORDAINED ONE & SUNLIGHT were found to be sound.
Tender Romance	Approaching 200 metres, TENDER ROMANCE (C.Alford) shifted out under use of the whip and carried OCEAN AND BEYOND (Imran Chisty) outwards. Jockey C.Alford has been cautioned for improper use of the whip.TENDER ROMANCE (C.Alford) and MACCHUPICCHU (Paul Mulrennan) luggedin and out respectively, in the final 200 metres. Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race both the horses.
Star Empire	STAR EMPIRE (M.Fenton) was placed fifth and ORDAINED ONE (B.Prakash) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
Ordained One	ORDAINED ONE (B.Prakash) played up in the stall. The colt was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. who certified him fit to race. Trainer S.Ganapathy has been asked to give the colt more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Sunlight	SUNLIGHT (R.P.Cleary) was observed to have been ridden feebly in the straight. The Jockey reported that the pace was fast and the horse had fizzled out in the straight.

9	(174)	THE WHYTE AND MACKAY CHALLENGE TERMS - 3 years maidens only	1000M

Tamarai	At the request of Trainer P Shroff, TAMARAI was examined at 1900 hours on 05/02/2010 and was found to be going short by the right fore leg due to painful swelling of right elbow, as such, the filly was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
Illustrious	After the race, ILUSTRIOUS & REINSTATE were found to be sound.
Firemiss	Soon after the start, FIREMISS (Martin Dwyer) shifted in to take position and carried ROYAL HIGHNESS (Y.S.Srinath) inwards, who shifted in more than the Jockey had anticipated. FIREMISS (Martin Dwyer) hung out for a brief period in the straight.
Star Vision	STAR VISION (M.Fenton) was fractious and reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Adil Dajee has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Reinstate	Passing 400 metres, REINSTATE (Aadesh Kumar) hung out and forced STAR VISION (M.Fenton) to travel wider, who in turn forced PURE POWER (R.P.Cleary) outward. REINSTATE continued to hang out in the remaining part of the race. trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

10	(175)	THE MCDOWELL SIGNATURE TROPHY (DIV-I) A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46	1400M

Appalina	Near 700 metres, APPALINA (R.P.Cleary) raced keenly and was eased off the heels of HAZEL MORGAN (Paul Mulrennan).
Red Cloud	After the race, RED CLOUD was found to be going short by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
