Abercrombe	ABERCROMBE (Md Islam) was fractious while being stalled.
Aberfan	ABERFAN (App Jorawar Singh), SAUDAGAR (Sandeep Rajput) and STYLE (P Trevor) were slow to begin. ABERFAN (App Jorawar Singh) was denied a clear run due to the crowding of the field during the concluding stages of the race.
Head Hunter	HEAD HUNTER (Arman Khan) and CELTIC COMMANDER (Mohit Singh) which were fractious while being stalled were slow to begin.

Major Colours	b g MAJOR COLOURS, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Friday, 6th January, 2017 as it was found to be suffering from pyrexia (fever). Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Farley Rodrigues was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Francina	FRANCINA (B Mahesh) which was extremely fractious while being stalled was slow to begin. In view of its behaviour Tr. Javed Khan was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.
Heliconia	An objection was lodged by Jockey Shezad Khan, the rider of HELICONIA, placed 2nd by the Judge against Jockey B Mahesh, the rider of FRANCINA, placed 1st on the grounds of “interference in the first 50 metres of the race whereby the winner knocked me ‘out’ from the inside, as a result I lost my position and consequently the race”. The Stewards after interviewing Jockeys Shezad Khan and B Mahesh, viewing the CCTV replay of the race and taking into consideration the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Stewards decided to over rule the objection and ordered the Judge’s placings to remain unaltered. The “All Clear” signal was hoisted. At a subsequent enquiry held by the Stipendiary Stewards Jockey B Mahesh was fined a sum of Rs. 15,000/ for careless riding in that while maneuvering his mount to take a passage in the early stages of the race, which at that very moment was also being attempted by HELICONIA, he caused Jockey Shezad Khan, the rider of HELICONIA, to check his mount and lose some ground.
Kaartiken	KAARTIKEN (Pintu Das, drawn 6) was buffeted for room soon after the start by MCCARTNEY (App Jorawar Singh, drawn 5) and BOURNVILLE (Afzal Khan, drawn 7). Jockey Pintu Das, the rider of KAARTIKEN, was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for excessive use of the whip (1st offence).
Zazen	ZAZEN (Arman Khan) which was fractious while being stalled was slow to begin.

Al Sahiba	ALTUS (Nirmal Jodha) was extremely fractious while being stalled. In view of its behavior Tr. Adhirajsingh Jodha was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.
Tibidabo	TIBIDABO (Nelson Maseyk) which was fractious in its stall was slow to begin. Jockey Nelson Maseyk, the rider of TIBIDABO, was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for excessive use of the whip (1st offence).
Resolution	RESOLUTION (App Hindu Singh) was fractious in its stall.
Monsieur Strauss	MONSIEUR STRAUSS (Sandeep Rajput) was fractious while being stalled.

4	(98)	THE LT GEN JAMEEL MAHMOOD MEMORIAL CUP A Handicap for Horses rated 21 TO 46	2000M

Romantic Society	ROMANTIC SOCIETY (A Sandesh, drawn 6) was fractionally slow to begin and thereafter made contact with MIZUNO (Munna Alam, drawn 5) which was carried ‘outwards’ by ADRIATIC SEA (P Trevor, drawn 4) soon after the start.
Antonius Maximus	ANTONIUS MAXIMUS (App Nikhil Naidu) was slow to begin.
Adriatic Sea	ADRIATIC SEA (P Trevor) jumped awkwardly from the gates.
Spice Girl	SPICE GIRL (Md Azharuddin) trailed the field home. Tr. J E Mckeown was advised not to accept with the mare until it was capable of a better performance.

Shivalik Storm	SHIVALIK STORM (Mudassar Nazar) and HIMALAYAN QUEEN (A Ashhad Asbar) arrived late to the start. Trs. J E Mckeown and H S Bath were advised to ensure that their charges arrive on time in future.
Invincible Prince	INVINCIBLE PRINCE (App Hindu Singh) planted losing considerable ground at the start. The Starting Stall Certificate has been revoked by the Starter.

Shining Fox

SHINING FOX (Mohit Singh) was extremely fractious while being stalled. In view of its behaviour Tr. H S Bath was advised not to accept with the gelding until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

Namcha

NAMCHA (Shezad Khan, drawn 4) shifted violently ‘outwards’ soon after the start causing interference to TIMELESS TREASURE (Akshay, drawn 5) and YUKU (Hindu Singh, drawn 6). Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor was informed that the gelding has been banned from racing from 8th January, to 7th February, 2017 and permission to participate in race will be reviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards and Starter on expiry of the ban period.

8	(102)	THE TOLLYGUNGE CLUB CUP A Handicap for Horses rated 41 TO 66	1400M
			4:00 PM

Murlough Bay	b m MURLOUGH BAY, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Saturday, 7th January, 2017 and was found to have a bleeding left nostril and a swelling on left eye. Under the circumstances the mare was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. R W Alford was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Rachmaninoff	The Veterinary Officer reported that RACHMANINOFF returned with a cut injury on left hind.
Sergeant Major	For failing to produce the registered colours at the Scale in respect of his charge SERGEANT MAJOR, Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was fined a sum of Rs. 375/. Subsequently the emergency colour “ALL BLACK” was permitted to be used.
Bizarro	BIZARRO (Mohit Singh) and MAJESTIC (A Sandesh) were slow to begin.
