Subsequent to the race day the Veterinary Officer reported that that the filly was radiographed and sonographed and found to be suffering from back pain due to a kissing spine. Trainer. Mr. Shafiq Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

TaygetusTrainer Ms. Arti Doctor when queried as to the poor run of her charge b g TAYGETUS stated that : a) Soon after the race Jockey C Alford informed her that the gelding on entering the straight just ‘blewup’. b) The gelding was running after a long gap of more than three months. c) The gelding had made progress from Class IV and was now running with the horses of the highest class.
FalconJockey B Mahesh, the rider of FALCON and Jockey C Alford, the rider of TAYGETUS, were reprimanded for dropping their hands well before passing the winning post.

6 (34) THE ANTICIPATOR PLATE

Top GunTOP GUN (P Trevor, drawn 4) and HAIL THE QUEEN (App Ranidan Singh, drawn 5) were inconvenienced when DANCERESS (C Alford, drawn 6) shifted ‘inwards’ soon after the start.
MargueritaJockey Dashrath Singh, the rider of MARGUERITA, reported that his mount was inclined to run green throughout the race. Tr. Bharath Singh was advised to take appropriate corrective measures.

7 (35) THE COURT MINSTREL HANDICAP

The Stipendiary Stewards advised the trainer to keep the filly under observation and report ailment, if any.
