Star AceThe Sr. V.O. reported that on arrival at the starting gates, STAR ACE (J. Chinoy) was observed to be bleeding from the mouth. On examination, it was noticed that the filly had a cut injury on the gum and upper lip. As such, STAR ACE was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. The Trainer is required to obtain a Fitness Certificate for the filly from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Scarlet Of HopeAn enquiry has been initiated into the improved performance of SCARLET OF HOPE and a report will be submitted shortly.
Amazon CatJockey Kishore Kadam (AMAZON CAT) was observed to have lost his whip passing 400 metres.
Shivalik PrincessAfter the race, Jockey Amyn Merchant (SHIVALIK PRINCESS) reported that he was held up for room in the final stages of the race. An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of SHIVALIK PRINCESS and a report will be submitted shortly.
Olivia KaspenApproaching the 800 metres OLIVIA KASPEN (Bhavani Singh) shifted in on to RACHEL (App. D. R. Shubam), who in turn shifted in and inconvenienced ENGLISH LASS (D. A. Naik).
RachelAt the start, RACHEL (App. D. R. Shubham, dr.5) jumped inwards and brushed the haunches of SEACAUCUS (C. Umesh, dr. 4).
English LassPassing 900 metres, ENGLISH LASS (D. A. Naik) shifted in thereby tightening SECRET OATH (C. S. Jodha) along the rails. After the race, ENGLISH LASS was trotted and found to be sound, but having a gum injury.

Uncle ScroogePassing 300 metres, UNCLE SCROOGE (N. S. Parmar) drifted out on to SEVERUS (A. Sandesh) thereby inconveniencing the latter. After the race, UNCLE SCROOGE was trotted and found to be sound.

ZionSoon after the start, ZION (Kavraj Singh) and MR MORRISON (App. D. R. Shubham) were observed to have jostled amongst themselves.
Shanayaa's PetAt the start, GENEROUS LADY (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 2) jumped out awkwardly brushing its starting stall.
IsinitApproaching 200 metres, ISINIT (S. G. Prasad) shifted out and finished the race on extreme outside. After questioning Jockey S. G. Prasad and not being satisfied with his explanation, he has been fined Rs.2,000/ for failing to take corrective measures despite his mount drifting out.
Make It ShineAt the start, MAKE IT SHINE (Zameer Sayyed, dr.5) jumped outwards and made contact with COUNTRY’S EMPRESS (R. K. Mahesh, dr. 6) who had to be steadied. Passing 600 metres, MAKE IT SHINE (Zameer Sayyed) dropped back thereby inconveniencing ISINIT (S. G. Prasad) who was racing on its haunches.
Blazing StepsAfter the race, BLAZING STEPS and MR MORRISON were trotted and found to be sound. GENEROUS LADY had a gum injury.

4 (103) THE GIRONDE PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)		 1200M
3.30 P.M.
AlectarAn enquiry has been initiated into the improved performance of ALECTAR and a report will be submitted shortly. After the race, ALECTAR was observed to have a gum injury.
SindbaadAn enquiry has been initiated into the riding of SINDBAAD and a report will be submitted shortly.
ApsarasJockey C. Umesh (APSARAS) was observed to have dropped his hands before passing the winning post thereby losing the Third Place. After questioning Jockey C. Umesh and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered, his Jockey’s license has been suspended for 25th September, 2016 (permitted to ride work/mock race).
LoganoApproaching 200 metres, LOGANO (D. S. Daman) shifted in on to MT TIANMEN (App. Parbat Singh) who had to be checked. Jockey D. S. Daman has been fined Rs.1,000/. Passing 100 metres, LOGANO (D. S. Daman) shifted out and at the same time MILLENIUM FALCON (App. Vishal N. Bunde) shifted in, due to which MT TIANMEN (App. Parbat Singh) who was racing between them, had to be checked.
In My LifePassing 700 metres, IN MY LIFE (T. S. Jodha) who was racing between ROYAL SAPPHIRE (Dashrath Singh) and MILLENIUM FALCON (App. Vishal N. Bunde), was tightened for room and had to be checked. The Sr. V.O. reported that IN MY LIFE was examined at the stables in the morning on 11/09/2016 and found to be sore by the left fore leg. Also, the mare had mild kick back injury in the left eye. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Mt TianmenMT TIANMEN (App. Parbat Singh) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Magansingh P. Jodha has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
NicanoraNICANORA (S. G. Prasad) lost about 2 lengths at the start.
Mohegun SunAfter the race, MOHEGUN SUN was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

5 (104) THE ROSMINI PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46		 1800M
4.00 P.M.
Olly BoyPassing 800 metres, OLLY BOY (App. S. A. Amit) shifted in thereby tightening KOAL (Kavraj Singh) along the rails. App. S. A. Amit has been cautioned.
Costa SmeraldaSoon after the start, COSTA SMERALDA (S. Zervan, dr.4) shifted in on to GLORIOUS HYMN (J. Pradeep, dr.3) who had to be steadied. Jockey S. Zervan has been cautioned.
PalatialPassing 300 metres, PALATIAL (Amyn Merchant) shifted in and went across GLORIOUS HYMN (J. Pradeep). On questioning, Jockey Amyn Merchant stated that in an effort to avoid clipping the front runner STARRY MOMENT (T. S. Jodha), he had to check his mount and change course. An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of PALATIAL and a report will be submitted shortly.
Covert ActionAfter the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (COVERT ACTION) reported that passing 600 metres his mount was inclined to run out and had to be steadied. Trainer B. Prakash has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
MarvelApproaching 400 metres, MARVEL (P. Trevor) shifted in thereby tightening ARTIFICIAL (Yash Narredu) along the rails.
Glorious HymnApproaching 1500 metres, GLORIOUS HYMN (J. Pradeep) shifted in thereby tightening MARVEL (P. Trevor) along the rails who had to be checked and dropped back.
KoalKOAL (Kavraj Singh) and PALATIAL (Amyn Merchant) jumped out slow, losing about 2 lengths each, at the start. After the race, KOAL was observed to have an abrasion at the right hind cannon. COVERT ACTION had lost its right fore plate and ARTIFICIAL was found to be sound in trot.
ArtificialPassing 500 metres ARTIFICIAL (Yash Narredu) weakened and dropped back on to GLORIOUS HYMN (J. Pradeep) forcing the latter to be checked. After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (ARTIFICIAL) reported that his mount hung in throughout the race. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

6 (105) THE RAMBUS PLATE (DIV-I)
TERMS - 3 year old maidens only		 1200M
4.30 P.M.
El MagnificoPassing 200 metres CHILY CHILY (Yash Naredu) was observed to have shied from the whip and veered out dislodging the rider. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
PointAt the start, POINT (Amyn Merchant, dr. 4) jumped inwards and made contact with NOBLE CHIEFTAIN (S. Sunil, dr. 3).
TalonApproaching 500 metres, TALON (Kavraj Singh) was observed to have stumbled and fell dislodging the rider due to which, RICARDUS (R. Ajinkya) and POINT (Amyn Merchant) who were racing directly behind, collided with the fallen horse thereby dislodging their riders. The Sr. V.O. reported that TALON stumbled during the race dislodging the rider. On examination, the gelding was observed to have sustained fracture of the right fore cannon, hence he was euthanized on the Track on humane grounds.
FirenzeAt the request of Trainer Sanjay Kolse, FIRENZE was examined at 1000 hours on 10/09/2016 and was found to have urticaria. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The Trainer is required to obtain a Fitness Certificate for the filly from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Monte GrecoAt the start, MONTE GRECO (P. Trevor, dr.7) jumped outwards on to RICARDUS (R. Ajinkya, dr.8) and at the same time PACIFIC DUNES (Neeraj Rawal, dr.9) jumped inwards and brushed the haunches of RICARDUS.
Pacific DunesAfter the race, PACIFIC DUNES was observed to have an abrasion at the right hock and POINT had a cut injury at the right fore cannon and right hind coronet.

7 (106) THE AKKASAHEB MAHARAJ TROPHY (GR.3)
TERMS - 4 YEARS OLD & UPWARD		 1200M
5.00 P.M.
Smile StoneTrainer Sharat Kumar reported that SMILE STONE had a fall on the way to the Saddling Enclosure. The gelding was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. in the Saddling Enclosure before the race and was found to be sore by the right fore leg. As such, SMILE STONE was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
AdamAfter the race, ADAM was observed to have lost its left fore plate.
BrynhillPassing 700 metres, BRYNHILL (C. S. Jodha) shifted in thereby tightening STRATEGIC MOVE (P. S. Chouhan) along the rails. Jockey C. S. Jodha (BRYNHILL) was observed to have lost his whip In the final stages of the race. This being the second occasion of him losing the whip during the current Pune Meeting, he has been fined Rs 2,000/.
Rule DownunderRULE DOWNUNDER (T. S. Jodha) jumped out slow, losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

8 (107) THE RAMBUS PLATE (DIV-II)
TERMS - 3 year old maidens only		 1200M
5.30 P.M.
LoaferAfter being stalled, LOAFER (Neeraj Rawal) sat in the stall and in the process of being taken out of the stall, the gelding fell backward. As such, LOAFER was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Since the gelding had behaved in a similar manner in its previous race, Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures and to show his charge to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.
Gregorian ChantsAt the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, a Stewards’ Enquiry was held in this race. The reason being, in the last 100 metres, in an effort to take a gap, GREGORIAN CHANTS (J. Chinoy, Placed First) had shifted in and bumped TRAVIESO (N. S. Parmar) and this incident nearly caused an accident, which was considered to be dangerous riding. The Stewards after the last race interviewed Jockey J. Chinoy for dangerous riding on GREGORIAN CHANTS. Having heard Jockey J. Chinoy and viewing the video of the race, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him and decided to suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 25th September, 2016 to 21st October, 2016 (both days inclusive) for dangerous riding on GREGORIAN CHANTS (permitted to ride work/mock race).
NormandyApproaching 1000 metres, NORMANDY (P. Trevor) shifted out on to FROSTED (Dashrath Singh), who in turn went on to DOLPHIN (M. A. Roushan). Approaching 300 metres NORMANDY (P. Trevor) shifted out forcing DOLPHIN (M. A. Roushan) to shift out, due to which Jockey N. S. Parmar (TRAVIESIO) had to steady his mount and change course.
Ridgewood StarTrainer Dallas Todywalla has been fined Rs.1,000/ for not producing the registered racing colors in respect of his charge, RIDGEWOOD STAR. The horse raced in emergency colors “ALL BLACK”.
TraviesoSoon after the start, TRAVIESO (N. S. Parmar, dr.6) who was racing between NORMANDY (P. Trevor, dr.5) and FROSTED (Dashrath Singh, dr.7), was tightened for room and dropped back.
BritainBRITAIN (S. Zervan) was restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainer Altaf Hussian has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
