Queen Of VeniceJockey Zulquar Nain the QUEEN OF VENICE was fined a sum of Rs.2,000/ for maintaining a wide course for major part race for no apparent reason.

5 (59) THE NILGIRIS DERBY STAKES (GR.1)

DominantDOMINANT (Prashant P Dhebe) reared up as the start was affected and got cast in the gates and took no part in the race.
LiberateJockey N.S.Parmar the rider of LIBERATE reported that he felt something wrong with his mount negotiating the 1250 meters left hand bend and again after passing the 1200 metres and hence he pulled up his mount. The Club’s Veterinary Officer was asked to examine the filly who reported that no abnormalities were found.
Camile ClaudelCAMILE CLADUEL (Shahar Babu) was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds, lame on right fore due to an inflamed metacarpal and a cut injury on the canon bone.
CastilianCASTILIAN (Akshay Kumar) was observed to hang in entering the straight despite jockey’s efforts.

Shadow Of LoveSHADOW OF LOVE (P.Ajeeth Kumar) jumped awkwardly outwards and then inwards and onto APALIS (Akshay Kumar) who further went in onto DEAN’S GREY (K.V.Baskar) who in turn had to be checked to avoid clipping the heels of APALIS and veered out losing considerable grounds.

Trainer FazalUlRehman deputising for trainer Akbar Malick was asked to get the gelding certified fit before accepting with it again.
BabyblueApprentice jockey Azfar Syeed the rider of BABYBLUE was severely cautioned for coming in sharply from the 900 metres till approaching the 800 metres bend.

Permission was granted to Trainer FazalUlRehman to saddle DONAILLA (G.Naresh) on behalf of Trainer Akbar Malick at both Trainer’s risk and liability.
JerichoJockey A.Imran Khan being indisposed he was permitted to be substituted by Jockey C.Umesh on JERICHO. Jockey C.Umesh the rider of JERICHO was fined a sum of Rs.3000/ for shifting out at about the 500 metres in trying to make his move forcing out WILD PASSION (Prashant P.Dhebe) who in turn shifted out forcing out GLORIOUS FLAME (C.A.Brisson).

Great CommotionGREAT COMMOTION (A.Ayaz Khan) was hesitant to raise a proper gallop and trailed the field despite jockey’s efforts. Trainer Vishesh M.P. was asked to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before accepting with it again.
