1	(184)	THE EASTER PARADE HANDICAP A Handicap for Horses rated 21 TO 46	1200M

Ascend	ASCEND (A Sandesh) and STEPHANIE (Dashrath Singh) were fractious while being stalled.
Horsea	For failing to produce the registered colours at the Scale in respect of his charge HORSEA, Tr. Shyam S Habbu was fined a sum of Rs. 375/. Subsequently the emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Aquaticaa	Approaching the 500 metres AQUATICAA (Imran Chisty) travelling along the rails was repeatedly squeezed for room by WARPATH (Hindu Singh) making progress on its outside. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Hindu Singh was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 1,500/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Azzraq	AZZRAQ (App P Vikram) reared up as the start was given losing approximately three lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour Tr. Farley Rodrigues was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

Jupiter	JUPITER (S John) was fractious while being stalled.
Blue Zone	Jockey Munna Alam, the rider of BLUE ZONE, was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/ for unnecessary use of the stick on his mount when the mare was clearly not responding to it.
Flight Of Phoenix	FLIGHT OF PHOENIX (Hindu Singh) was fractious in its stall.

Arabian Sky	b f ARABIAN SKY, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on 14th March, 2017 and found to be lame on left fore. Under the circumstances the filly was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor was informed not to accept with her charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
German Guide	GERMAN GUIDE (A Sandesh) was slow to begin.
Bacaardi	Soon after the start BACAARDI (Imran Chisty, drawn 5) and BUCHAREST (Md Imran, drawn 6) made contact with each other.

Mercedes	MERCEDES (S John) was fractious while being stalled.
Ababeel	ABABEEL (Imran Chisty, drawn 10) jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’ from the gates causing various degrees of inconvenience to ROYAL ONE (I Khan, drawn 11) and BE A STAR (App Ranidan Singh,drawn 12).

Flamsteed	FLAMSTEED (Neeraj Rawal) and AHLAN (Arman Khan) were fractious while being stalled.
Fire Falcon	For failing to produce the registered colours at the Scale in respect of his charge FIRE FALCON, Tr. Shyam S Habbu was fined a sum of Rs. 375/. Subsequently the emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Coley	App Jorawar Singh, the rider of COLEY, reported loss of whip passing the 300 metres.
Seafarer	SEAFARER (Mudassar Nazar) and INDUS PRINCE (Nelson Maseyk) were fractious in their respective stalls. The Veterinary Officer reported that SEAFARER returned bleeding from both nostrils. Tr. Shyam S Habbu was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

Abberella

An enquiry was held immediately after the race into the interference received by DANCERESS (C Alford) some distance after the start. The result of the enquiry was referred to the Stewards who met after the last race. The Stipendiary Stewards charged Jockey A Ashhad Asbar with “careless riding” under Rule 161(i) of the RCTC Rules of Racing in that some distance after the start Jockey A Ashhad Asbar (HARTNELL) when in clear running shifted ‘inwards’ towards the rails when not adequately clear of VERY SPECIAL (Hindu Singh) which was then carried ‘in’ onto ch f DANCERESS (C Alford) making progress on the rails, the filly then having to be severely checked by its Jockey C Alford to avoid running into the rails or the heels of VERY SPECIAL. Jockey Ashhad Asbar when interviewed pleaded guilty to the charge of careless riding. The Stewards after due deliberations decided to suspend Jockey A Ashhad Asbar from riding in races on 29th & 31st March, 2017 under Rule 161 of the RCTC Rules of Racing. The jockey was informed of his right to appeal.

Athletico	ATHLETICO (Dashrath Singh) was slow to begin losing approximately two lengths at the start.
One Man Army	When afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount ONE MAN ARMY, Jockey Russell Xaviers stated that he was instructed to place his mount in a leading position and to do his best. However, in spite of his best efforts to control the pace in the early and middle stages of the race he was unable to do so as the gelding had bolted. When queried as to why he had failed to ride his mount to complete advantage in the final 50 metres of the race he stated that as the gelding had changed legs on a number of occasions he did not want to put excessive pressure on his mount fearing that something may be wrong with the gelding. The gelding was examined by the Veterinary Officers and no ailment was noticed. The Stipendiary Stewards informed Jockey Russell Xaviers that he was being given the benefit of doubt in this instance and emphasized to him the many reasons as to why every mount of his should be ridden to complete advantage.
Bang Bang	Jockey Hindu Singh, the rider of BANG BANG, reported that his mount was inclined to hang ‘out’ while negotiating the bend.

Tweedle Dee	Jockey Dashrath Singh, the rider of TWEEDLE DEE, reported loss of whip before passing the winning post.
Santero	As Jockey B L Paswan was unable to fulfill his riding engagement for the day due to a medical emergency in his family, Tr. Raunak Banerji was permitted to substitute Jockey Nelson Maseyk to ride his charge SANTERO.

Adamantium	For failing to produce the registered colours at the Scale in respect of their charges ADAMANTIUM and AUBERON Trs. D M David and Shyam S Habbu were fined a sum of Rs. 375/ each. Subsequently the emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Uptown Girl	UPTOWN GIRL (Vinay Jaiswal) and ADAMANTIUM (Vikash Tamang) were slow to begin.
Singularity	SINGULARITY (Md Azharuddin) was slow to begin losing approximately 34 lengths at the start.
