AsterixThe Cross Nose Band used on ASTERIX opened up during the loading operations. As the gelding did not allow the same to be refitted, it was permitted to run without t he Cross Nose Band.
LucretiusLUCRETIUS was very difficult to load. Tr. D M David was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again. Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of LUCRETIUS, reported that his mount jumped awkwardly from the gates brushing against the same.
EliteELITE which was difficult to load, was slow to begin. Jockey S Zervaan, the rider of ELITE, was fined a sum or Rs. 2,500/ for bumping into WINSANGEL (R Shelar) passing the 200 metres.

EastsideEASTSIDE, DUBAI DUNES and SUN GOD were slow to begin.
MisoTr. Aashay Doctor was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/ for the late arrival of his charge MISO, which is known to be a difficult customer, to the start thereby delaying the proceedings of the race. The trainer was further advised to ensure that his charges arrive on time in future.
Sun GodEASTSIDE, DUBAI DUNES and SUN GOD were slow to begin.
Lord LuciferLORD LUCIFER was fractious in its stall. The Veterinary Officer reported that LORD LUCIFER returned lame on left fore. Tr. B Mahesh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Dubai DunesEASTSIDE, DUBAI DUNES and SUN GOD were slow to begin. DUBAI DUNES finished the race detached from the field. Tr. Sabeel Shariff was advised not to accept with his charge until it was capable for a better performance.

MacchiatoOn the morning of Tuesday, 16th January, 2024 MACCHIATO was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be lame on left fore. Under the circumstances the colt was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Aashay Doctor was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Rocket ManJockey N S Parmar, the rider of ROCKET MAN, was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for excessive use of the whip (1st infringement).
Swift LadyTr. Rutherford Alford was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/ for the late arrival of his charge SWIFT LADY thereby inordinately delaying the start of the race. The Trainer was further advised to ensure that his charges arrive on time in future.
ThalamesSOUL MUSIC, KIKATA and THALAMES were slow to begin.
