Coley	For accepting with his charge b g COLEY to run in the above race while under medication, Tr.Patrick Quinn was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/. Subsequently the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn.
Queen's Kitten	b f QUEEN’S KITTEN, an acceptor in the above race was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Monday, 14th August, 2017 and found to be lame on right hind. Under the circumstances the filly was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Rutherford Alford was advised not to accept with the filly until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Zurvan	Approaching the 400 metres ZURVAN (Rajinder Singh) was squeezed for room when FLYING CLOUD (Shezad Khan) and FAMOUS ATTACK (App Ranidan Singh) shifted ‘inwards’ and ‘outwards’ respectively. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Shezad Khan and App Ranidan Singh were shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/ each for not making sufficient efforts to keep their respective mounts on a straight path.

Surgical Strike	SURGICAL STRIKE (P Trevor) was slow to begin
Amicus Curiae	Passing the distance post AMICUS CURIAE (Dashrath Singh) was momentarily inconvenienced when BLAZE TO GLORY (S John) shifted ‘out’ and BUBBLY BELLINI (App R S Bhati) shifted ‘in’.
Bubbly Bellini	BUBBLY BELLINI (App R S Bhati) arrived late to the start. Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor was advised to ensure that her charge arrives on time in future.

4	(46)	THE INDEPENDENCE CUP A Handicap for Horses rated 41 TO 66	1400M
			3:30 PM

He Calls The Shots	Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of HE CALLS THE SHOTS, reported that his mount was inclined to hang ‘in’ throughout the race. Tr. Vijay Singh was advised to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with his charge again.
Dancing Lord	DANCING LORD (A Sandesh) was fractious while being stalled.
Summerhill	The Veterinary Officer reported that SUMMERHILL returned bleeding from right nostril. Tr. Patrick Quinn was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
King's Crown	KING’S CROWN (App Jorawar Singh) which was slow to begin was inconvenienced soon after the start due to the crowding of the field.
Apercus	APERCUS (C Alford) arrived late to the start and was slow to begin. Tr. Raunak Banerji was advised to ensure that his charge arrives on time in future. APERCUS (C Alford) was observed to be racing fiercely during the early part of the race in spite of the Jockey’s best efforts to settle it.

Brahmachari	For failing to declare the weight in respect of their charges b g BRAHMACHARI and b g EVESHAM, Trainers Javed Khan and Raunak Banerji were fined a sum of Rs. 500/ each.
Captain Cook	CAPTAIN COOK (P Trevor) and EVESHAM (C Alford) were fractious while being stalled.

6	(48)	THE CALCUTTA JUVENILE SPRINT TERMS - 3 years old only	1100M
			4:30 PM

Fortune Express	For failing to declare the weight in respect of their charges FORTUNE EXPRESS, AILEEN, GLOAMING and MILLENIUM GLORY respectively, Trainers Manvendra Singh, Jasbir Singh, Javed Khan and J E Mckeown were fined a sum of Rs. 500/ each.
Gloaming	GLOAMING (A Sandesh) was fractious while being stalled.
Millenium Glory	For failing to produce the registered colours at the scale in respect of his charge MILLENIUM GLORY, Tr. J E Mckeown was fined a sum of Rs. 500/. Subsequently the emergency colour ‘ALL BLACK’ was permitted to be used. MILLENIUM GLORY (Akash Rajput) was extremely fractious while being stalled. In view of its behaviour Tr. J E Mckeown was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

Siempre Nueva

Some distance after the start App P Vikram, the rider of (SIEMPRE NUEVA), lost his stirrup iron and finished the race without the equipment. Subsequent examination reveled that the buckle fitted with the equipment had broken, as such, no action was taken beyond noting the incident. Tr. Patrick Quinn when afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge SIEMPRE NUEVA (App P Vikram) as compared to its previous outing in Race Nos. 28 of the current season stated that : a) He had given similar instructions in its earlier run over 1200 metres i.e., start to finish and it was noticed that the mare had maintained a forward position till the final 200 metres of the race. b) This race was run over 1100 metres and he had declared an apprentice claiming a 4 kgs allowance which definitely was in the mare’s favour.

Miraculix

Jockey Hindu Singh, the rider of MIRACULIX, reported loss of whip approaching the distance post. The Stipendiary Stewards taking into cognigance that the jockey had reported dropping of his whip on occasions earlier, decided to fine him a sum of Rs. 1,000/ for this repeated lapse and cautioned him that should he continue to drop his whip during the running of a race, he would be reported to the Stewards for appropriate action.
