Born To Winb g BORN TO WIN, a declared starter, was examined by the Veterinary Officer at the saddling enclosure and found to be lame on left fore. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
MiraculixMIRACULIX (Hindu Singh), BOURNVILLE (B Mahesh) and CARPE NOCTEM (App P Vikram) were fractious in their respective stalls.
AfriqueAFRIQUE (App Nikhil Naidu) and I ME N MYSELF (Jugnu Gurung) were slow to begin.

WimbledonSome distance after the start WIMBLEDON (Md Azharuddin) was checked by its rider and made to take evasive action when POLLYANA (App R S Bhati) shifted ‘outwards’. At a subsequent enquiry App R S Bhati was shown the CCTV replay of the race and was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/ for careless riding.
JesterJESTER (Md Imran) which was fractious in its stall finished off the race detached from the field. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was advised not to accept with his charge until it was capable of a better performance.

4 (185) THE RCTC RIDING & APPRENTICE JOCKEY SCHOOL CUP

The StradleJockey S John, the rider of THE STRADLE, was reprimanded for shifting ground ‘inwards’ when not adequately clear of DEVOTION (Dashrath Singh) which was then carried onto MIZUNO (Hindu Singh) on the inside some distance after the start.
Dixie DiamondDIXIE DIAMOND (Shezad Khan), I TOLD YOU KNOW (P Trevor) and THE BIG BULL (P S Chouhan) were slow to begin.
Prolific Visitch c PROLIFIC VISIT was scoped after the conclusion of the last race of the day and found to have bled throughout the length of trachea. Tr. Raunak Banerji was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Flying CloudSoon after the start FLYING CLOUD (Shrikant Kamble, drawn 4) was inconvenienced when THE STRADLE (S John) jumped awkwardly ‘inwards’.

Dream ExpressDREAM EXPRESS (App Nikhil Naidu) and MADAME RECAMIER (Md Islam) were slow to begin.

6 (187) THE ROYAL BLUE STAR HANDICAP

NobuNOBU (P Trevor) which was resaddled behind the barrier was fractious while being stalled.
Scorpion QueenCARRALISA (S Zervaan) was fractious while being stalled.
Celtic KingCELTIC KING (P S Chouhan) fly jumped ‘out’ from the gates.
GryffindorJockey C Alford, the rider of GRYFFINDOR, reported that his saddle shifted back during the running of the race and as such he was unable to ride his mount to complete advantage. Tr. Bharath Singh was fined a sum of Rs. 500/ for faulty saddling.
KnighthoodKNIGHTHOOD (Vinay Jaiswal) which was fractious while being stalled was slow to begin.

7 (188) THE CALCUTTA ST. LEGER (2018) (GR.3)

8 (189) THE OAKMEAD HANDICAP

Uncrowned KingJockey P S Chouhan, the rider of UNCROWNED KING, when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that he was fairly well positioned during the race and that the “galloping style” of the gelding was very awkward in that when placed under pressure it had a tendency to carry its head very high. He was of the further opinion that the gelding would perform better when run over a slightly longer trip. His observations were noted.
