Bournville	Passing the 900 metres BOURNVILLE (B Mahesh) making quick progress on the outside shifted ‘inwards’ and made contact with SO REGAL (Afzal Khan). At a subsequent enquiry Jockey B Mahesh was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/for shifting ‘in’ when not adequately clear of the other runner.
New Challenger	NEW CHALLENGER (Dashrath Singh) jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’ from the gates and refused to raise a fluent gallop for some distance. In view of its behaviour Tr. Javed Khan was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work. The Veterinary Officer reported that NEW CHALLENGER returned with a cut injury on left hind.
West Cape	WEST CAPE (App R S Bhati) and ROMANCER (Sandeep Rajput) were slow to begin.

Rising Power(0)

RISING POWER (Sandeep Rajput), BARBARIK (Pintu Das) and LAND OF GLORY (Sk Israil) were slow to begin. In a fast run race approaching the 800 metres RISING POWER (Sandeep Rajput) was checked by its rider and lost some ground when running into the heels of ROMAN RIDGES (App Nikhil Naidu) which was eased back by its rider. At subsequent enquiry App Nikhil Naidu was shown the CCTV replay of the race and advised against this undesirable practice of slowing his mount down for no adequate reason in a closely packed and fast run race.

Jupiter	JUPITER (App Ranidan Singh) was slow to begin.
Simran's Choice	SIMRAN’S CHOICE (Vinay Jaiswal) was slow to begin losing approximate 56 lengths at the start and thereafter finished off the race detached from the field. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

Running Hand	RUNNING HAND (Hindu Singh) arrived late to the start. Tr. J E Mc keown was advised to ensure that his charge arrives on time in future.
Bucharest	BUCHAREST (Javed Khan) and ATHLETICO (Sk Israil) were fractious in their respective stalls.

Big Star	Jockey Anil Baandal, the rider of PROTECTOR OF TROY, was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for excessive use of the whip (1st offence).
Timeless Treasure	TIMELESS TREASURE (Arman Khan) was slow to begin.
Hail The Queen	HAIL THE QUEEN (Hindu Singh) which was fractious while being stalled was slow to begin.
Demonstrate	DEMONSTRATE (Munna Alam) travelling along the rails was severely checked by its rider and lost some ground when TIMELESS TREASURE (Arman Khan) shifted ‘inwards’ for no apparent reason. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Arman Khan was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/for shifting ground when not adequately clear of the other runner.
Fab Bullet	FAB BULLET (Md Islam) was fractious while being stalled.

			3:30 PM

Marguerita

Some distance after the start MARGUERITA (Dashrath Singh) shifted ‘outwards’ causing inconvenience to DANCERESS (C Alford) andSANGFROID (P Trevor). In this incident ch f TSAVO (Hindu Singh) travelling behind SANG FROID shifted ‘outwards’ which resulted in the filly thereafter to lean ‘out’ for the rest of the race. Jockey Dashrath Singh, the rider of MARGUERITA, reported that on entering the straight the filly failed to accelerate in spite of his best efforts and that he was disappointed with the performance of his mount. Tr. Bharath Singh was advised to keep his charge under observation and report ailment, if any.

Mizuno	gr g MIZUNO, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of 18th February, 2017 and found to be lame on left hind. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. J E Mckeown was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Antonius Maximus	ANTONIUS MAXIMUS (App Nikhil Naidu) and ADAMANTIUM (App Ranidan Singh) were slow to begin.
