PalatialAfter the race, Jockey P. Trevor (PALATIAL) reported that he found his mount’s action tentative, as such, the Sr. V.O. was requested to examine the gelding. The Sr. V.O. reported that PALATIAL was found to be sore by the left hind leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

RicardusAfter being stalled, RICARDUS (C. S. Jodha) played up in the stall. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified him fit to race. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Advance To ContactJockey Amyn Merchant (ADVANCE TO CONTACT) was observed to have used his whip in excess of the prescribed limit. This being his second offence during the Mumbai Meeting 2017/18, he has been fined Rs.5,000/.
ShevchenkoOn arrival at the start, SHEVCHENKO (Neeraj Rawal) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was certified fit to race. At the request of Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the saddle on his mount SHEVCHENKO was adjusted on arrival at the start.
ReplicaAt the request of Jockey Nirmal Jodha, the bridle on his mount REPLICA was adjusted on arrival at the start.
PandemoniumAt the start, PANDEMONIUM (A. Sandesh, dr.1) jumped outwards thereby bumping and tightening SOLO MISSION (Bhawani Singh, dr.2) and inconveniencing WHOOPSIDAISY (App. G. Amit, dr.3) who was inclined inwards.
Diwali LightsAfter the race, DIWALI LIGHTS and GRAND EYES were trotted and found to be sound. DIWALI LIGHTS had a cut injury on the tongue and RICARDUS had lost its left fore shoe.
Grand EyesAfter the race, Jockey T. S. Jodha (GRAND EYES) reported that his mount was wobbling in the straight, as such, he could not ride out to its complete advantage. Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

3 (181) THE DR GOVIND R GURBAXANI MEMORIAL TROPHY

BrabournePassing 200 metres, BRABOURNE (P. Trevor) shifted out on to VICE ADMIRAL (App. H. Zeeshan), who in turn shifted out and carried ZANZIBAAR (P. S. Chouhan) outwards. Jockey P. Trevor has been cautioned.
Grande VitesseAt the request of App. K. Nazil, the bridle on his mount GRANDE VITESSE was adjusted on arrival at the start. After the race, GRANDE VITESSE was trotted and found to be sound.
Mount MckinleyAfter the race, MOUNT MCKINLEY was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

4 (182) THE GRACIAS SALDANHA MEMORIAL MILLION

Star InspirationAn enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of STAR INSPIRATION and a report will be submitted shortly. After the race, STAR INSPIRATION was trotted and found to be sound but having an abrasion on the left hind fetlock.

SpitfirePassing 150 metres, SPITFIRE (David Probert) shifted in on to IRON AGE (S. Zervan) who had to be steadied. Thereafter, IRON AGE (S. Zervan) shifted out inconveniencing SHAE (P. S. Chouhan). On being questioned after the race, Jockey David Probert stated that his mount hung in despite his efforts. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

6 (184) LE GRIS CHEVAL PLATE

The FlutistAt the request of Jockey David Probert, the bridle on his mount ADONIJAH was adjusted on arrival at the start.
Grand AccordPassing 500 metres, GRAND ACCORD (Jockey C. S. Jodha) shifted out and went across GOSHAWK (A. Sandesh) who clipped the heels of the former and stumbled. After questioning Jockey C. S. Jodha and not being satisfied with his explanation, he has been fined Rs.5,000/.
Huzzah's GracePassing 300 metres, HUZZAH’S GRACE (P. Trevor) shifted out on to KOMANDANT (Neeraj Rawal), who in turn shifted out thereby inconveniencing SYLVESTER (App. S. A. Amit). After questioning Jockey P. Trevor and not being satisfied with his explanation, he has been fined Rs.2,000/. After the race, Jockey P. Trevor (HUZZAH’S GRACE) reported that his mount was tentative throughout the race. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

7 (185) THE FEDORA PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)

LocarnoAfter the race, LOCARNO was found to be sore by the right hind leg. Also, the mare had an abrasion at the right hind cannon and a clip injury at the right hind bulb of heel. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
GlorianaApproaching 800 metres, GLORIANA (P. Trevor) shifted in thereby tightening ZOOM ZOOM (D. A. Naik) along the rails, forcing the latter to be checked and drop back. Jockey P. Trevor has been cautioned.
BraveSoon after the start, BRAVE (Dashrath Singh) shifted in and went across DOLPHIN (C. S. Jodha) who had to be steadied. After the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh (BRAVE) reported that his mount was tentative and running green.
DolphinAfter the race, DOLPHIN, MAKE IT SHINE, BRAVE and BIDSTONE HILL were trotted and found to be sound.
Angel TheaPassing 300 metres, ICE ANGEL (App. Santosh G.) weakened and dropped back, due to which DOLPHIN (C. S. Jodha) had to be checked and change course. After the race, ICE ANGEL was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

Till End Of TimeJockey T. S. Jodha (TILL END OF TIME) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit. On questioning, Jockey T. S. Jodha informed that his mount hungin in the straight and the same was used as a corrective measure, as such no action has been initiated against him. However, Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
GalteroAfter the race, GALTERO was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Bay Of LoveAt the start, BAY OF LOVE (App. R. Ajinkya, dr. 3) jumped outwards and SIA (App. G. Amit, dr. 5) jumped inwards thereby tightening ANGELS HARMONY (P. S. Chouhan, dr. 4). Soon after the start, due to a tightly packed field, BAY OF LOVE (App. R. Ajinkya) was observed to have lost its footing and stumbled and thereafter shifted in thereby inconveniencing ANGELS HARMONY (P. S. Chouhan).
Szilman HoneyAfter the race, SZILMAN HONEY was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Golden TowerAt the start, GOLDEN TOWER (S. Zervan, dr.10) jumped inwards on to TILL END OF TIME (T. S. Jodha, dr.9) who had to be steadied.
Night FuryNIGHT FURY (App. M. Ayyar) lost a length at the start. After the race, NIGHT FURY was trotted and found to be sound.
