Winds Of The OceanThe Veterinary Officer reported that WINDS OF THE OCEAN returned lame on right fore. Tr. D M David was informed not to accept with the horse until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

The Stradlech g THE STRADLE, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Tuesday, 21st February, 2017 and found to be lame on right foredue to a painful capped elbow. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Vijay Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

4 (157) THE ARISTOTLE HANDICAP

Dakota DreamerDAKOTA DREAMER (Mudassar Nazar) and THUNDER ON (App Ranidan Singh) were slow to begin. Jockey Mudassar Nazar, the rider of DAKOTA DREAMER, was fined a sum of Rs. 500/ for the undesirable practice of unnecessar y “calling out” during the running of the race. Further, he was advised to refrain from using excessive force of the whip on his mount during the final stages of the race.
Supreme RulerApproaching the distance post Jockey B Mahesh, the rider of SUPREME RULER, had to take evasive action when MARISKA (App Nikhil Naidu) shifted ‘inwards’.At a subsequent enquiry App Nikhil Naidu was shown the CCTV replay of the race and advised not to change course when not adequately clear of the other runners.

5 (158) THE PUNTERS DELIGHT HANDICAP

JabbleJABBLE (App Nikhil Naidu) was fractious in its stall and ducked ‘out’ under the gates causing the saddle to shift out of position. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr.Vikash Jaiswal was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.
Indus PrinceINDUS PRINCE (Nelson Maseyk) was fractious in its stall.
Glamourous GloryGLAMOU ROUS GLORY (App Dheeraj Singh) was fractious while being stalled.
SeafarerSEAFARER (Mudassar Nazar) which lost considerable ground when jumping ‘out’ awkwardly from the gates finished off the race detached from the field. Tr. Shyam S Habbu was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.

6 (159) THE CAPT H D FOWNES MEMORIAL CUP
