Romantic EyesAfter the race, App. Raghuveer Singh (ROMANTIC EYES) reported that his mount hungin in the straight. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.
Thea's PetTHEA’S PET (App.A.S.Peter) swayed its head as the start was given. After the race, Apprentice A. S. Peter (THEA’S PET) reported that the Handler was holding the horse while the start was given, due to which he lost ground. The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into this incident and a report will be submitted shortly. The Equine Hospital reported that THEA’S PET had injury in both eyes (Both eyes sore, right eye – corneal ulcer).
PadmakosaAfter the race, PADMAKOSA was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
BohemianPassing 100 metres, BOHEMIAN (App. D. R. Shubham) shifted out under urgings and carried LOVELY FAIRY (Amyn Merchant) and ZEEMO (App. M. Ayyar) outwards. App. D. R. Shubham has been cautioned.
Lovely FairyApproaching 200 metres, LOVELY FAIRY (Amyn Merchant) shifted out thereby inconveniencing ZEEMO (App. M. Ayyar). Jockey Amyn Merchant has been cautioned.
FabioAt the start, FABIO (App. Niranjan S. Parmar, dr.8) jumped inwards and went across THEA’S PET (App. A. S. Peter, dr.7) who was marginally slow to begin. Thereafter, FABIO further shifted in thereby inconveniencing ZEEMO (App. M. Ayyar, dr.6). App. NIranjan S. Parmar has been cautioned.

IsinitISINIT (App.K.Nazil) was reluctant to reach the starting point. Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures. Soon after the stat, ISINIT (App. K. Nazil, dr.3) shifted out on to DREAM TRAIL (S. J. Sunil, dr.4) who had to be steadied. App. K. Nazil has been cautioned. The Equine Hospital reported that ISINIT had right eye injury (swelling, sore).
She's A TigerSoon after the start, SHE’S A TIGER (App. M. Ayyar, dr.6) shifted out and carried GOLDEN ORCHID (H. Zeeshan, dr.7) outwards on to BEE QUIRKY (App. Niranjan S. Parmar, dr.8). At the same time SPEEDO (App. D. R. Shubham, dr.10) shifted in on to MAJESTICAL (App. A. Prakash, dr.9) who in turn shifted in thereby starting a chain reaction, due to which BEE QUIRKY, GOLDEN ORCHID and SHE’S A TIGER were tightened and had to be checked. App.D.R.Shubham has been cautioned.
Bee QuirkyFrom the 150 metres, App. Niranjan S. Parmar (BEE QUIRKY) was observed to have maintained an erratic course thereby inconveniencing DREAM TRAIL (S. J. Sunil). After questioning, App. Niranjan S. Parmar has been fined Rs.1,000/.
CeceliaAt the start, CECELIA (Amyn Merchant, dr.2) jumped inwards and made contact with ONE EYED PRINCESS (S. A. Amit, dr.1).
Dream TrailApproaching 800 metres, DREAM TRAIL (S. J. Sunil) shifted in thereby inconveniencing CECELIA (Amyn Merchant). Jockey S. J. Sunil has been cautioned.
One Eyed PrincessONE EYED PRINCESS (S.A.Amit) was restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

CormorantThe Equine Hospital reported that CORMORANT had right eye injury (small corneal ulcer with mild opacity).
Excellent SorrentoAfter the race, EXCELLENT SORRENTO was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

4 (4) THE GAMBLE FOR LOVE TROPHY

SaltbaeAt start, SALTBAE (Shrikant Kamble, dr.1) jumped outwards and at the same time DILBAR (S. A. Amit, dr.2) jumped inwards and had to be steadied. After the race, Jockey S. A. Amit reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.
Queens GateAfter the race, Jockey P. Trevor (QUEENS GATE) reported that his mount hungin in the straight. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
TuracoSoon after the start, TURACO (N. S. Parmar, dr.9) was inclined inwards thereby inconveniencing SUPREME BEING (Altaf Sayyed, dr.8) who was marginally slow to begin. Approaching 800 metres, TURACO (N. S. Parmar) leaned inwards thereby inconveniencing QUEENS GATE (P.Trevor) who had to be steadied. On being questioned after the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar stated that his mount was running green despite his efforts to settle her. Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
MacauAfter the race, App.K.Nazil (MACAU) reported that his mount hung in throughout the race. Trainer Hosidar Daji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.
Supreme BeingAn enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of SUPREME BEING and QUEENS GATE and a report will be submitted shortly.
ShadowsSoon after the start, SHADOWS (Bhawani Singh, dr.5) was inclined outwards thereby inconveniencing DASHING IMAGE (Akshay Gaikwad, dr.6). Jockey Bhawani Singh has been cautioned.

6 (6) THE D K ASHISH TROPHY

CipherAn objection was lodged by App.A.S.Peter, the rider of CIPHER (Placed Second) against TURMERIC TOWER (P.Trevor, placed First). The reason being, TURMERIC POWER shifted in at the 200 metres and bumped his mount and thereafter kept him pocketed whereby his filly lost her stride and he could not ride her out. Thereafter, he pulled the filly out and she covered lot of ground from the outside and the interference had cost him the race.
Dance SmartlyDANCE SMARTLY (D.A.Naik) was reluctant to be stalled. After being stalled, GOLDEN ERA (Santosh G.) played up and hooked one of his fore leg in the adjoining stall and TURMERIC TOWER (P.Trevor) started leaning in the stall and momentarily tried to duck the front gate. Both the horses were taken out and examined by the Club’s VO who certified them fit to race. Trainers C.Rajendra and Adhirajsingh Jodha have been asked to give their respective charge DANCE SMARTLY and GOLDEN ERA more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

7 (7) THE SEASON OPENER PLATE
A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)

Tar HeelAt the request of Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait, TAR HEEL was examined at 1400 hours on 23/07/2019 and found to be trotting sound but had painful swelling on the right fore tendon. The gelding was reexamined at 1830 hours and ultrasound scan revealed lesion on SDFT, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The Trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the gelding from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
PhiladelphiaAt the start, PHILADELPHIA (N. S. Parmar, dr.1) jumped outwards thereby starting a chain reaction, due to which DIBABA (S. A. Amit, dr.2) shifted out tightening BROTHERSOFTHEWIND (Shrikant Kamble, dr.3) causing it to stumble and also inconveniencing ARABIAN FRIEND (Akshay Gaikwad, dr.4).
Timeless DeedsSoon after the start, TIMELESS DEEDS (App. A. S. Peter, dr.7) shifted in thereby tightening FENCING (Santosh G., dr.6) who in turn shifted in and brushed the haunches of ANGELS HARMONY (C. S. Jodha, dr.5) due to which ARABIAN FRIEND (Akshay Gaikwad, dr.4) was tightened for room and dropped back. App. A. S. Peter has been severely reprimanded.
