BournvilleAn objection was lodged by Jorawar Singh, the rider of BOURNVILLE, placed 2nd by the Judge against Jockey A Imran Khan, the rider of SO REGAL, placed 1st on the grounds of “interference in the last 100 metres whereby the winner came onto me and bumped me at a crucial stage and this cost me the race”. The Stewards after interviewing App Jorawar Singh and Jockey A Imran Khan and viewing the CCTV replay of the race decided to over rule the objection. The Judge’s placings remained unaltered. The “All Clear” signal was hoisted. The objection fee deposited by App Jorawar Singh was forfeited.
AbabeelABABEEL (Mohit Singh) which was fractious while being stalled was slow to begin. Trainer Mr. Patrick Quinn when queried into the running of his charge b f ABABEEL (Mohit Singh) and the expanding odds on the filly prior to the start of the race, stated that : a) He was surprised at the initial short “odds” on the filly as the stable did not fancy its chances as it had not run for a long period of time. b) The stable had fancied the other runner in the yard i.e., dk b g SO REGAL to win the race as the gelding had placed a very good 2nd a fortnight earlier. Consequently he declared the number 1 jockey of the stable to ride the gelding.
AzzraqAZZRAQ (Surjeet Singh) and THUNDER ON (Sameer Khan) were slow to begin.
Artiste RoyalARTISTE ROYAL (Afzal Khan) was fractious while being stalled.

2 (16) THE AMORINA HANDICAP

Gimme CreditApp Sujit Kr. Paswan, the rider of GIMME CREDIT, was reprimanded for shifting ground ‘outwards’ approaching the distance post for no apparent reason.
In The SunriseThe Veterinary Officer reported that IN THE SUNRISE returned bleeding from both nostrils. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

3 (17) THE ADRIANA PLATE

FriendshipFRIENDSHIP (C Alford) was extremely fractious while being stalled. Trainer Ms. Arti Doctor was advised not to accept with her charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work. Immediately after the race an enquiry was held into the running and riding of b f FRIENDSHIP, ridden by Jockey C Alford, with particular reference to the incident approaching the distance post whereby the filly, when in full motion and being challenged by the eventual winner, was checked by its rider. At the conclusion of the enquiry it was clearly established that on repeated viewing of the CCTV replay at various speeds the incident was caused when the filly momentarily lost her hind leg action thereby losing her rhythm and causing the Jockey to take immediate cautionary action. As no blame could be attached to any one the “White Cone” was ordered to be hoisted.

DevotionDEVOTION (Neeraj Rawal) was fractious in its stall.
Timeless TreasureTIMELESS TREASURE (Afzal Khan) arrived late to the start thereby considerably delaying the start of the race. Tr. R W Alford was informed that should the filly behaves in a similar manner in future, it would be withdrawn from the race.

Looking Goodb f LOOKING GOOD, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Wednesday, 26th July, 2017 and found to be lame on right hind. Under the circumstances the filly was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. R W Alford was informed not to accept with the filly until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
MizunoMIZUNO (Hindu Singh) arrived late to the start. Tr. J E Mckeown was advised to ensure that his charges arrive on time in future.
LhotseLHOTSE (Sameer Khan), ATHEIST (Md Islam) and MIZUNO (Hindu Singh) were fractious in their respective stalls.
Hurricane StormHURRICANE STORM (Sk Israil) was slow to begin.
Adi's DelightThe Veterinary Officer reported that ADI’S DELIGHT returned with a cut injury on right fore.

KaartikenKAARTIKEN (App Rupal Singh, drwn 3) made contact with IMARA (Vinay Jaiswal, drawn 2) soon after the start. At a subsequent enquiry App Rupal Singh stated that the left rein dropped from his hand soon after the start thereby causing him to loose control of his mount momentarily. The same was confirmed on viewing the CCTV replay.
RegalREGAL (Surjeet Singh) was slow to begin.
