TahminaFor accepting with his charge dk b f TAHMINA while under medication, Tr. Jasbir Singh was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/. Subsequently the filly was permitted to be withdrawn.
ZandraJockey Pintu Das, the rider of ZANDRA, was reprimanded for failing to exercise proper control thereby allowing his mount to keep an erratic course on entering the straight.
AdamantiumPassing the distance post ADAMANTIUM (Hindu Singh) and ZANDRA (Pintu Das) travelling along the rails made contact with each other. At a subsequent enquiry both Jockeys were interviewed and Jockey Hindu Singh was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/ for not exercising adequate control over his mount. Jockey Hindu Singh was further fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/ for excessive use of the whip (2nd offence).
Secret BuilderSECRET BUILDER (Sandeep Rajput) was slow to begin.
Royal ConcertROYAL CONCERT (Afzal Khan) was fractious in its stall.
BarbarikBARBARIK (Mohit Singh) was observed to have been eased up by its rider well before passing the winning post. On questioning Jockey Mohit Singh stated that his mount was running much below his expectation when compared to its previous outing in Race No. 112 run on 17th January, 2017 and ridden by himself. The gelding was impounded for veterinary examination. The Veterinary Officer reported on the morning of 29th January, 2017 that the gelding was lame on left hind. Tr. Jasbir Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

AhlanAn enquiry was held immediately after the running of the race with particular reference to the start of b f AHLAN (A Ashhad Asbar). At the conclusion of the enquiry it was established that Jockey A Ashhad Asbar had not seated himself on his mount as the start was given resulting in the filly starting the race riderless. Under the circumstances the filly was declared a ‘Nonstarter’ by the Stewards. SIGNIFICANT (Asghar) and WINDS OF THE OCEAN (Sk Israil) were slow to begin.
City HeightsThe reins used on CITY HEIGHTS (App Nikhil Naidu) was observed to have dropped from his hands during the concluding stages of the race.
ApsarasAn enquiry is being held into the interference received by b m APSARAS (Hindu Singh) at approximately at the 800 meter marker which caused the bridle to shift out of position and consequently the mare was eased to a canter by its rider.

SwarajWhen afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of her charge b g SWARAJ as compared to its previous outings in Race No. 106 of the ensuing season where in it finished unplaced, Tr. Ms. Arti Doctor stated that : a) The gelding was running in the lower class on demotion. b) The rider was claiming 4 kgs allowance. c) The other participants in the race were currently not having any winning form. d) The stable did not fancy the gelding’s chance to win this race as her charge did not have any winning form and hence she was pleasantly happy with the victory. The Stipendiary Stewards noted her explanations.

Fab BulletFAB BULLET (Hindu Singh) and DIAMOND CREEK (Md Islam) were fractious while being stalled. JACOBIN (S John) was fractious in its stall.
ChittagongApproaching the 300 metres Jockey Vinay Jaiswal, the rider of dk b c CHITTAGONG shifted ‘in’ for no apparent reason causing ADI’S DELIGHT (Neeraj Rawal) making progress on the inside to be checked by its rider when taking evasive action. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Vinay Jaiswal was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/ for failing to exercise adequate control over his mount.
Mrs Willy NillyMRS WILLY NILLY (Munna Alam) was slow to begin. Jockey A Ashhad Asbar, the rider of MILFORD SOUND, reported that his mount was inclined to run ‘out’ throughout the race in spite of his best efforts. Tr. Rutherford Alford was advised to take adequate remedial measures.

6 (132) THE DAVID JACOB CUP (DIV-II)

HartnellJockey A Ashhad Asbar, the rider of HARTNELL, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.
MahasuviAs Jockey Arshad Alam was unable to fulfill his engagement for the day, Tr. J E Mckeown was permitted to substitute Jockey Akash Rajput to ride his charge MAHASUVI.
AlamireALAMIRE (C Alford), CARPE NOCTEM (Hindu Singh) and DEVOTION (Md Islam) were fractious while being stalled.

7 (133) THE POLICE COMMISSIONER`S CUP

Simran's ChoiceSIMRAN’S CHOICE (Akash Rajput) and SCARLET EMPEROR (Vinay Jaiswal) were slow to begin. Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of KINGS CANYON, reported that his mount was inclined to hang ‘in’ on entering the straight. Tr. Vishal Gaikwad was advised to take appropriate corrective measures.

When afforded an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge b g CRONOS as compared to its previous outing in Race No. 94 where it finished unplaced, Tr. Javed Khan stated that : a) In its last outing the gelding ran in an open company along with outstation horses. b) In today’s race it ran with most of the unplaced horses that were in station as on 12th July, 2016. c) He was pleasantly surprised with the victory of the gelding. The Stipendiary Stewards not being totally satisfied with the explanations tendered by the Trainer decided to continue with the enquiry.
