JabbleApproaching the 600 metres, JABBLE (Md Azharuddin) travelling along the rails was inconvenienced when GLORIOUS RUN (Shezad Khan) shifted ‘inwards’. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Shezad Khan was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/ for shifting ground when not adequately clear of the other runner.
Treasure IslandTREASURE ISLAND (Shailesh Shinde) was fractious in its stall.

Another GloryANOTHER GLORY (A Ashhad Asbar) was fractious while being stalled. Immediately after the race an enquiry was held by the Stipendiary Stewards with particular reference to the fall of ANOTHER GLORY (A Ashhad Asbar) BENGAL TIGER (Vinay Jaiswal) and RACHMANINOFF (Md Islam) passing the 1000 metre marker. At the conclusion of this enquiry the ‘All Clear’ signal was hoisted and the Stipendiary Stewards referred the matter to the Stewards who interviewed Jockeys Arshad Alam, the rider of SCARLET EMPEROR (drawn 4) and Jockey A Ashhad Asbar, the rider of ANOTHER GLORY (drawn 5) after the last race of the day. At the conclusion of the Stewards enquiry Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of SCARLET EMPEROR, was found guilty of negligent riding (Rule 161 (i) of the RCTC Rules of Racing) in that in an attempt to improve his position passing the 1000 metre marker he shifted his mount ‘outwards’ thereby causing ANOTHER GLORY (A Ashhad Asbar) to be carried ‘out’ resulting in the mare clipping the heels of FABIENNE (Neeraj Rawal) and falling in the path of BENGAL TIGER (Vinay Jaiswal) and RACHMANINOFF (Md Islam) which resulted in the two mentioned horses also falling. Further in this incident LE HAVRE (Anil Baandal) travelling on the wide outside received a severe check when taking evasive action. The Stewards after due deliberation decided to suspend Jockey Arshad Alam from riding in races from 10th March, 2017 to 30th March, 2017 (both days inclusive). Mr. Arshad Alam was informed of his right to appeal and was permitted to ride work. Jockeys Vinay Jaiswal and Md Islam were given immediate medical attention and admitted to the hospital for further medical management. Jockey A Ashhad Asbar was examined by the Medical Officer and declared fit to ride. ANOTHER GLORY which sustained a pelvic fracture was euthanized and ROCHMANINOFF which returned with a cut injury on the chest was attended to by the Veterinary Officer.
RachmaninoffRACHMANINOFF (Md Islam, drawn 10) and LE HAVRE (Anil Baandal, drawn 11) made contact with each other some distance after the start.
XipenSome distance passing the winning post XIPEN (App P Vikram) dislodged its rider.
RegalREGAL (Surjeet Singh) was slow to begin.

4 (172) THE AAYUSH HANDICAP

BarbarikBARBARIK (Pintu Das) and DESERT CAT (Arman Khan) were slow to begin. Jockey Pintu Das, the rider of BARBARIK, reported loss of whip while negotiating the bend.

EternallyETERNALLY (Imran Chisty) was fractious in its stall. Jockey Anil Baandal, the rider of HARTNELL, was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/ for shifting ‘in’ when not adequately clear of ETERNALLY (Imran Chisty) which had to be checked by its rider approaching the 800 metres.
Bambini FestaBAMBINI FESTA (I Khan) ran detached from the field. Tr. Javed Khan was advised not to accept with his charge until it was capable of a better performance.

6 (174) THE MAYOR`S CUP
A Handicap for Horses rated 80 & ABOVE

Ademarob h ADEMARO, an acceptor in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on the morning of Sunday, 26th February, 2017 and found to have sustained a cut injury on right fore. Under the circumstances the horse was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Raunak Banerji was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Make Way For MeMAKE WAY FOR ME (B Mahesh), CELTIC KING (Anil Baandal) and DYSNOMIA (Neeraj Rawal) were fractious while being stalled.
AcriderACRIDER (A Ashhad Asbar), KNIGHTHOOD (App Ranidan Singh) and THE TALISMAN (Shailesh Shinde) were slow to begin.

7 (175) THE CALCUTTA ST. LEGER 2017 (GR.3)

CadmanCADMAN (Neeraj Rawal) and OPHION (S John) were fractious while being stalled. An objection was lodged by Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of CADMAN placed 2 nd by the Judge against Jockey Dashrath Singh, the rider of SERENDINE placed 1 st on the grounds of “interference in the last 50 metres whereby the winner had intimidated and bumped me due to which I lost the race and as it was a very close finish but for the interference, I would have won”. The Stewards after interviewing Jockeys Neeraj Rawal and Dashrath Singh and viewing the CCTV replay of the race decided to over rule the objection. The Judge’s placings remain unaltered. The “All Clear” signal was hoisted. The objection fee deposited by Jockey Neeraj Rawal was forfeited.

8 (176) THE AMALITA HANDICAP
