Brave Warrior	BRAVE WARRIOR (N. Rawal) was observed to be trotting lame on right hind due to back sprain as such the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds.
Naucratis	NAUCRATIS (Kuldeep Singh) lost its both fore shoes. However, the colt was trotting sound after the race.

Exclusive Wind

Consequent to Jockey Y.S. Srinath having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey Kuldeep Singh to be substituted on EXCLUSIVE WIND. Explanation of Jockey Kuldeep Singh (EXCLUSIVE WIND) that his mount lost the hind action as the start was affected due to which he lost his left stirrup iron which he could regain after travelling few strides, as such he could not position his mount well up with the field, as instructed in the initial stages of the race and thereafter he did his best was noted.

Carnival Express	Explanation of Jockey P. Trevor (CARNIVAL EXPRESS) that his mount was fractious inside the gates, kick the gates and as the start was affected his mount was slow into stride and did not raise a fluent gallop and started gaining ground only in the straight was confirmed by Trainer L.D’ Silva. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the sustained superficial injuries over left hind. However, the mare was trotting sound after the race.
