Zambo Anga records an encore Zambo Anga (R Umesh up), winner of the Sweet Girl Plate, being led in by trainer Mr. A Vatsalya
Trainer Ananth Vatsalya shrewdly exploited the form of his ward Zambo Anga by running the four-year old gelding within three days and winning the Sweet Girl Plate (Div I), a Category II race, on the concluding day of the Hyderabad Winter Races on Tuesday. The last day’s racing also saw quite a few horses which were waited with for an opportune time, obliging as well backed horses.

Ave Maria records emphatic win in Circar Cup
Prasad Raju trained Ave Maria was guided to an emphatic victory by jockey Imran Khan in the 1800 metres Circar Cup, a Category II race, which highlighted the concluding day’s races of the Hyderabad Winter Season on Monday. Prasad Raju retained the trainers’ championship while Imran Khan walked away with the same honor for jockeys.

Vijay Damini has it easy in Alcock Barb Stakes
Vittal Deshmukh trained Vijay Damini justified the strong favouritism by easily claiming the Gr 3 Alcock Barb Stakes, a seven furlong race for three-year olds, the main event of Sunday’s races held at Malakpet. Jockey Pradeep Chouhan, who guided the winner, had the most rewarding of his career as he booted home five winners.
