FlashJockey Rajinder Singh, the rider of FLASH, was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/ for not making adequate attempt to prevent his mount from drifting towards the outer portion of the race track when placing it under pressure thereby momentarily inconveniencing TANGALOOMAA (Dashrath Singh) during the final stages of the race.
TangaloomaaTANGALOOMAA (Dashrath Singh) and MAJOR COLOURS (Surjeet Singh) were slow to begin.
LexiLEXI (Arman Khan, drawn 3) which was slow to begin, jumped awkwardly from the gates and made contact with TANGALOOMAA (Dashrath Singh, drawn 2) soon after.

Rani TheaJockey Pintu Das, the rider of RANI THEA, was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/ for not making adequate attempt to prevent his mount from drifting towards the outer portion of the race track when placing it under pressure thereby momentarily inconveniencing OATH OF ALLEGIANCE (App Akash Rajput) during the final stages of the race.
War GamesJockey Vinay Jaiswal, the rider of WAR GAMES, when afforded an opportunity to explain his riding on his mount with particular reference to the final stages of the race stated that the gelding was inclined to hang ‘out’ through out the final 400 metres of the race in spite of his efforts to keep it on an even course. However, during the concluding stages of the race he allowed and guided the gelding to shift to the outer rails as he was of the opinion that his constant struggle to keep the horse on an even course was impeding the gelding from running at its maximum ability. The Stipendiary Stewards made note of the jockey’s explanation and informed Trainer Mr. Vikash Jaiswal to take corrective measures before accepting with his charge again.
Glamourous GloryGLAMOUROUS GLORY (Arman Khan) lost considerable ground at the start when rearing up as the start was given. Tr. Mr. R V Gowli was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice.

3 (108) THE ARGIANO CUP (DIV-I)

SingularityThe bridle of b f SINGULARITY broke after the filly was loaded into her stall. As there was insufficient time to replace the equipment, the filly was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Subsequent examination revealed that the equipment was in serviceable condition and as such no action was taken beyond noting the incident.
The StradleTHE STRADLE (S John) and POWER OF FREEDOM (Shezad Khan) were slow to begin. The Veterinary Officer reported that ZAZEN returned with a cut injury on right hind.
Shy BelleSHY BELLE (C Alford) was fractious while being stalled.
Celtic CommanderCELTIC COMMANDER (Mohit Singh) and WOODSTOCK (Afzal Khan) were fractious in their respective stalls.
ZazenZAZEN (Arman Khan) which was fractious in its stall was slow to begin.

StarfireJockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of STARFIRE, reported that his mount was inclined to hang ‘out’ during the final stages of the race.
RabdaRABDA (App Ranidan Singh) and POURU CHISTI (Surjeet Singh) were fractious in their respective stalls. App Ranidan Singh, the rider of RABDA, reported loss of whip passing the distance post.
MccartneyMCCARTNEY (Sk Israil) finished off the race detached from the field. Tr. D M David was advised to get his charge examined by the Veterinary Officer and report ailment, if any. On endoscopic examination on 3rd October, 2016 the gelding was found to have mild guttural pouch infection.

Torino (O)TORINO (A Ashhad Asbar) was fractious in its stall. An objection was lodged by Jockey A Ashhad Asbar, the rider of TORINO placed 2nd by the Judge against Jockey C Alford, the rider of ROMANTIC FLOW placed 1st by the Judge on the grounds of “when I had a one horse gap, the winner closed the same whereby I had to steady my mount, put down my stick and go for him again, which cost me the race”. The Stewards after interviewing Jockeys A Ashhad Asbar and C Alford, viewing the CCTV replay of the race and taking into consideration the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Stewards decided to unanimously over rule the objection. The “All Clear” was ordered to be hoisted. Jockey A Ashhad Asbar, the rider of TORINO, was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for excessive use of the whip (1 st offence).
Winning FortuneWINNING FORTUNE (Neeraj Rawal) which was fractious in its stall fly jumped out from the gates thereby losing approximately three lengths at the start.
Meet The LegendMEET THE LEGEND (Mudassar Nazar) was fractious while being stalled.
Lanner FalconLANNER FALCON (B Nikhil) arrived late to the start thereby delaying the proceedings. Trainer Ms. Arti Doctor was advised to ensure that her charge arrives on time to the start in future.

7 (112) THE CALCUTTA MONSOON DERBY (2016) (GR.2)

CadmanCADMAN (Dashrath Singh) and DYSNOMIA (S John) were fractious while being stalled.
BallisterBALLISTER which raced poorly was impounded for veterinary examination and on immediate examination the colt was found to be trotting sound. Thereafter, on endoscopic examination a very mild respiratory tract infection was observed.

8 (113) THE SILVERINA CUP

Make Way For MeJockey A Sandesh was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/ for failing to exercise control over his mount MAKE WAY FOR ME when placing it under pressure with the whip thereby allowing the gelding to shift ‘outwards’ and cause severe interference to HIMALAYAN QUEEN which was making quick progress on his outside during the final stages of the race.
Gentle KnowledgeGENTLE KNOWLEDGE (App Ranidan Singh) and MAKE WAY FOR ME (A Sandesh) arrived late to the start thereby delaying the proceedings. Trs. Rutherford Alford and Javed Khan were advised to ensure that their charges arrive on time to the start in future.

9 (114) THE ALICE SPRINGS HANDICAP

Shining MelodySHINING MELODY (Neeraj Rawal) arrived late to the start thereby delaying the proceedings. Tr. H S Bath was advised to ensure that his charge arrives on time in future.
WordsSoon after the start WORDS (Gajender Singh, drawn 6) was squeezed for room and lost some ground when ANNIE OAKLEY (App Dheeraj Singh, drawn 5) shifted ‘outwards’. Further, approaching the 800 metres ANNIE OAKLEY shifted ‘outwards’ for no apparent reason causing inconvenience to MELLOW FELLOW (A Ashhad Asbar). At a subsequent enquiry App Dheeraj Singh was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/ for shifting ground when not adequately clear of the other runner. Further, the apprentice was advised to report to Jockey Coach Mr. P Alford for guidance.
