DistinguishedDISTINGUISHED (App.S.Zervan) luggedin in the straight. Trainer Nina M.Lalvani has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
MohabbiSoon after the start, MOHABBI (Amyn Merchant) lugged in and carried SILVER SCREEN (App.Shrikant Kamble) inwards. Shortly afterwards CANDY FLOSS (T.Mahesh) lugged in and carried MOHABBI inwards, who in turn made contact with SILVER SCREEN. Trainers Asad Siddiqui and S.K.Sunderji have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charges before next accepting with them to race.
UntouchedUNTOUCHED (S.P.Ranjane) jumped out slowly, losing about 2 lengths at the start. SOCARORO (Dashrath Singh) hesitated at the start and lost ground due to which the Jockey could not follow his instructions which were to be up.

Sea SparrowAfter the race, SEA APARROW, OH CALCUTTA and PURE ELATION were found to be sound.
CosmopolitanApproaching 1400 metres, COSMOPOLITAN (P.S.Chouhan) shifted in and took the running of PURE ELATION (Neeraj Rawal) who clipped the hind heels of COSMOPOLITAN and stumbled, dislodging its Rider. Consideration of the matter was deferred to the next meeting of the Stewards.

EcstaticaApproaching 1000 metres, ECSTATICA (Y.S.Srinath) who had her head on the side, shifted in and hampered the running of HATSUHAANA (C.D.Hayes).
Got To GoAt the start, GOT TO GO (Suraj Narredu, dr.9) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and at the same time PRINCE LOCHINVA (Sunny Chinoy, dr.10) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and due to the impact GOT TO GO shifted inwards and made contact with HARMONICA (S.A. De Sousa, dr.8). Jockeys Suraj Narredu & Sunny Chinoy have been asked to be more alert at the Gates.
TaanushTAANUSH (P.S.Chouhan) took a fly jump.
Prince LochinvaAfter the race, PRINCE LOCHINVA was found to be sound.

Palazzio's SunPALAZZIO’S SUN (Martin Dwyer) hung out in the final stages of the race and FOREST FLAIR (B Prakash) lugged out. Tr. S.Padmanabhan and Karthik G. have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charges before next accepting to race. After the race, PALAZZIO’S SUN was found to be sound.
Forest FlairAt the start, FOREST FLAIR (B Prakash) shifted outwards and hampered RED ROMEO (N.G. McCullagh). SPRINT STAR (Suraj Narredu) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside.
IkariaJockeys M.Narredu (IKARIA) and David Allan (D’ARTAGNAN) have been fined Rs.1000/ each for using their whip in excess of the prescribed limit on their respective mounts.
Sprint StarSPRINT STAR (Suraj Narredu) was placed fifth and PORTRUSH (Dashrath Singh) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
ArtsNear 1000 metres, ARTS (Y.S.Srinath) was tightened and shortly afterwards, MING (C.Alford) shifted in on to PIATO (C.D.Hayes) who in turn went on to SPRINT STAR (Suraj Narredu) who was steadied. Near 400 metres, ARTS (Y.S.Srinath) shifted out and carried MING (C.Alford) outwards. Jockey Y.S.Srinath explained that his mount changed the leg at that stage and suddenly ducked out. The explanation was noted.

5 (230) THE VANDREVALA FOUNDATION MULTI-MILLION

LionwoodsAfter the race, LIONWOODS was found to be sound. PURE POWER had an injury on the right thorax.
ApplaudAn Objection was lodged by Jockey M.Narredu, rider of APPLAUD (placed 4th) against Jockey N.G.McCullagh, the rider of LIONWOODS (placed second) and against Jockey R.Hughes, the rider of XISCA (placed first). The reason being, in the last 200 metres LIONWOODS (N.G.McCullagh) shifted in badly due to which he had to check his mount and thereafter XISCA (R.Hughes) shifted in and tightened him, taking his ground, due to which he had to stop riding for a few strides, which cost him the race. After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over rule the Objection.
Light My WayLIGHT MY WAY (Y.S.Srinath) was placed fifth and MONEYBAGS (C.Ruzaan) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
MoneybagsMONEYBAGS (C.Ruzaan) lost about 2 lengths at the start. Trainer Anil Kumar has been fined Rs.3000/ for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charge MONEYBAGS.

Echoes Of LightAt the request of Trainer Darius R Byramji, ECHOES OF LIGHT was examined at 0930 hours on 05/03/2010 and found to be sore by the right fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
MaseehaPassing 400 metres, MASEEHA (S.A. De Sousa) shifted in and caused CLASSERVILLE (David Allan) to shift in and hamper the running of CAVARADOSI. (Paul Mulrennan). Jockey S.A. De Sousa has been fined Rs.3000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount..
Spark Of GoldJockey Y.S. Srinath (SPARK OF GOLD) was observed to have used his whip in excess and in an improper manner on his mount. The matter has been reported to the Stewards.
OrochiOROCHI (Suraj Narredu) was placed fifth and CLASSERVILLE (David Allan) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

Maverick(O)At the request of Trainer Nirad Karanjawala, MAVERICK was examined at 1030 hours on 04/03/2010 and found to have an injury of about 2 inches in diameter at the base of the tongue. As such the mare was certified unfit to race and withdrawn on Veterinary grounds.
Wings Of AngelsAt the request of Trainer Nana Raghunath, WINGS OF ANGELS was examined at 1830 hours on 04/03/2010 and found to have colic and was medicated. As such, the mare was certified unfit to race and withdrawn on Veterinary grounds.
CulcrieffRelying on a report from the Sr. VO that CULCRIEFF, who was observed to have broken a blood vessel after its race on 06/02/2010, was accepted to race today while the gelding was still within its stipulated 4 (four) weeks ban period, the gelding was Not Permitted to Run and Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been fined Rs. 3000/ for his lapse.
McqueenIn the final 200 metres, MCQUEEN (P.S.Chouhan) hung in despite Jockey’s effort and hampered the running of RAN BANKA (M.Narredu). Trainer Damodaran D.Pillai has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
AmaranzaAMARANZA (Vivek) was reluctant to be stalled. FLUENT VICTORY (I.Shaikh) lost about 4 lengths at the start. Trainers S.Shaikh and Narendra Lagad have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and to show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting with them to race. After the race, AMARANZA, FLUENT VICTORY, SECRET TALK & MCQUEEN were found to be sound.
Walking TallAt the start, WALKING TALL (Paul Mulrennan, dr.21) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and went on to MARINE ZONE (D.K.Ashish, dr.20) who in turn shifted in and jostled with GAME OF POWER (App.D.Akkshay, dr.19) unbalancing the gelding which nearly caused an accident. Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock race before next accepting to race. After the race, WALKING TALL was found to be going short by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

8 (233) THE HIRCO CONSTRUCTIONS CUP
TERMS - 3 year old maidens only

Ocean OdysseyDISTANT PROMISE (D.K.Ashish) reared up continuously and was not allowing its rider to settle. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
TitleistAfter the race, TITLEIST was observed to have an abrasion on the right shank, SERENITY had an abrasion on the left shank and ZARACHA had lost its left hind plate.
ZarachaNear 200 metres, ZARACHA (C.S.Jodha) lugged out and carried ZAFAYONA (C Ruzaan) outwards and then jostled with the latter. Trainer Magansingh P Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.
Wild ImaginationJockey Sunny Chinoy has been fined Rs.5000/ for not informing the Trainer of the overweight that he would carry due to which the Trainer was unable to obtain prior permission for his charge WILD IMAGINATION to carry overweight.
Aleutian ZoneAt the Start, ALEUTIAN ZONE (A.R.Mani) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and went on to GREY PHANTOM (Dashrath Singh) who in turn went on to DISTANT PROMISE (D.K.Ashish) who in turn made contact with NOU CAMP (Harish). Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against anyone.
