Candle In The Wind	During the final stages of the race CANDLE IN THE WIND (P Trevor) which was making progress on the rails was checked by its rider and was momentarily unbalanced when YAMLAPAGLADEEWANA (Afzal Khan) shifted ‘inwards’. At a subsequent enquiry both jockeys were interviewed and after due deliberations Jockey Afzal Khan was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/ for failing to maintain a straight course.
Andromeda	Passing the distance post ANDROMEDA (Kishore Kadam) under pressure drifted ‘outwards’.Tr. C Gleich when afforded an opportunity to explain the poor performance of his charge ANDROMEDA, stated that his charge was running for the first time with blinkers ‘on’ and was expected to perform well as the filly had shown a lot of speed with the blinkers ‘on’ during the morning track trials. He further stated that he would keep the filly under observation and report ailment, if any.
Empress Of Persia	Approaching the distance post EMPRESS OF PERSIA (App Vikash Tamang) galloping on the wide outside was inconvenienced when GONNA BE A ROKSTAR (Md Islam) under pressure drifted ‘outwards’. Jockey Md Islam was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course.
Promissory Note	PROMISORY NOTE (Imran Chisty) was fractious while being stalled thereby delaying the start of the race.
Fascinating(O)	FASCINATING (Gajender Singh) was slow to begin losing approximately two lengths at the start.

			1:30 PM.

Star Success	On the morning of Saturday, 6th October, 2012, b g STAR SUCCESS, a declared starter in the above race was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be stiff on hind quarter. Under the circumstances the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Jasbir Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Sr. Veterinary Officer.
Leandro	TINTIN (B Prakash) and HAPPY KINGDOM (Surjeet Singh) were fractious while being stalled thereby delaying the start of the race.
Chinatown	The Veterinary Officer reported that CHINATOWN returned lame on left fore. Tr. Jasbir Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Sr. Veterinary Officer.

			2:00 PM.

Adawna	ADAWNA (C Alford), ROMAN CENTURION (App Md Azharuddin) and STUPID CUPID (N S Parmar) were slow to begin.
Strauss(O)	STRAUSS (M F Ali Khan) was fractious while being stalled.
Naughty Lass	Jockey I Khan, the rider of NAUGHTY LASS, was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for excessive use of the whip on his mount (2nd offence).

			2:35 PM.

Dancing Dame	DANCING DAME (Shezad Khan) was fractious while being stalled thereby delaying the start of the race. Tr Bath was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.
Sergeant Pepper	SERGEANT PEPPER (P Trevor) stumbled on jumping out of the gates.

5	(145)	THE ASCRIPTIVE CUP A Handicap for Horses rated 80 & ABOVE	1400M
			3:05 PM.

Two In One	TWO IN ONE (Imran Chisty) was fractious while being stalled.
Regal Classic	Approaching the 400 metres REGAL CLASSIC (App Md Azharuddin) was inconvenienced when RIVER BLITZ (App Zarar Alam) shifted ‘inwards’. App Zarar Alam was cautioned to be more careful in future.

6	(146)	THE CALCUTTA MONSOON DERBY (2012) (GR.3) TERMS - 3 years old only	2000M
			3:35 PM.

Angel Child	ANGEL CHILD (P Trevor) was fractious while being stalled.
Impressive Move	IMPRESSIVE MOVE (Shailesh Shinde) was slow to begin losing approximately two lengths at the start.
Slade Valley	Passing the distance post b c SLADE VALLEY (Suraj Narredu) was eased up by its rider and on examination after the race the Veterinary Officer reported that the colt returned lame on left fore. Tr. Bharath Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Sr. Veterinary Officer.

7	(147)	THE HOKAIDO CUP A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 65	1200M
			4:10 PM.

Cee Four	CEE FOUR (App Vikash Tamang) which was fractious in its stall and dislodged its rider when jumping awkwardly out from the gates. Tr. Bath was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.
Royal Saga	Jockey M Krishna, the rider of ROYAL SAGA, reported loss of whip passing the distance post.
Cider With Rosie	Jockey Kishore Kadam, the rider of CIDER WITH ROSIE, was severely reprimanded for shifting ground ‘inwards’ when not adequately clear of the other runner b g DEVILITTO (Md. Islam) approaching the 900 metres
Devilitto	Jockey Md Islam when afforded an opportunity to explain his riding on his mount DEVILITTO, stated that he was instructed to place his mount in 4th position during the early and middle stages of the race. However, some distance after the start he received a check when CIDER WITH ROSIE (Kishore Kadam) shifted ‘inwards’. The CCTV replay of the race was scrutinized in the presence of the jockey and after deliberations Jockey Md. Islam was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/ for the indifferent handling of his mount in the early and middle stages of the race in that soon after jumping out of the gates he made no attempt to place his mount in a position as instructed by the trainer and thereafter, after being inconvenienced by CIDER WITH ROSIE made no adequate attempt during the middle stages of the race to place his mount in a position of contention.

8	(148)	THE ADRIANA CUP A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 45	1000M
			4:40 PM.

Poker Angel	POKER ANGEL (B Srinivas Rao) was examined by the Veterinary Officer at the start and found to be lame on left hind. Under the circumstances the filly was permitted to be withdrawn with the permission of the Stewards before coming under Starter’s orders. Tr. Jasbir Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Sr. Veterinary Officer.
Pirateer	An enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of PIRATEER, ridden by Jockey Imran Chisty and trained by Mr. Patrick Quinn.
Consensus	Jockey N S Parmar, the rider of CONSENSUS, reported loss of whip approaching the final 150 metres
Kayadhu	KAYADHU (Pradeep Kumar) and SUMANGALA (Babu Singh) were slow to begin.
All That Jazz (O)	ALL THAT JAZZ (M F Ali Khan) was very fractious while being stalled thereby delaying the start of the race. Tr. C Gleich was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.
