1	(56)	THE CLASSIC TALK PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 00 TO 26	1000M

Cloud Cover	Soon after entering the straight, CLOUD COVER (SP Ranjane) shifted out and went across HOUDINI (S.Sunil), causing the gelding to be checked by its Rider. CLOUD COVER further shifted out and forced his passage and in the process jostled with CLASSIC SPIRIT (P.Belose). Jockey SP Ranjane was reported to the Stewards for Careless/ Dangerous Riding. Consideration of the matter has been deferred to the next meeting of the Stewards. After the race, CLOUD COVER was observed to have an abrasion on the right fore coronet and JAANEMANN had a clip injury on the right fore canon.
Beacon Light	Soon after the start, BEACON LIGHT (Nirmal Jodha) was hampered for a clear run while racing between CLASSIC SPIRIT (P.Belose) and HOUDINI (S.Sunil).
Classic Spirit	Jockey P Belose (CLASSIC SPIRIT) reported the loss of whip near 200 metres. Since it was first instance of loss of whip during the current Pune Meeting, no action has been initiated against the Jockey beyond reminding him of the notice with regard to the Loss of Whip.
Jaanemann	JAANEMANN (App Shammi Khan) fly jumped at the start whereby the Apprentice lost his balance and consequently lost his right stirrup which he regained after traveling about 150 metres.

2	(57)	THE MUSIC MAN PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 00 TO 26 - (4 years old only)	1200M

Dangerous Belle	At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, a Stewards Enquiry was held in this race. The reason being that in the final furlong DANGEROUS BELLE (Stephane Breux, placed 1st) shifted in causing SALAWATI (S.Sunil, pl.3rd) to shift in. However, Jockey Stephane Breux immediately corrected his mount. Thereafter, SALAWATI (S.Sunil) continued to shift in and at the same time MYSTERIOUS HEIGHTS (App.S.Zervan, 4th) shifted out to improve his position as a result both the horses MYSTERIOUS HEIGHTS and SALAWATI jostled with each other which may have placed the former at a disadvantage. The Stewards after deliberating on the matter and relying on their judgment of the incident, decided that no change in the order of placing was called for. Jockey Stephane Breux (DANGEROUS BELLE) has been cautioned for shifting in under use of the whip in the final furlong.
Salawati	At the start, SALAWATI (S Sunil) jumped out awkwardly from the Gates.
Kuhaylan	Approaching 200 metres, MYSTERIOUS HEIGHTS (App S Zervan) shifted in due to which DUTCH ART (Vikram Walkar) was inconvenienced. App.S.Zervan has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Enlightenment	After the race, ENLIGHTENMENT was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind bulb of heel, GRACES had an abrasion on the right fore canon & left hind fetlock. DUTCH ART was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind fetlock and had splayed its left fore plate.

3	(58)	THE WAVES OF GLORY PLATE - DIV-II A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46	1200M

Cherokee	Jockey Dashrath Singh (CHEROKEE) has been cautioned for shifting in under the use of the whip in the final furlong. After the race, CHEROKEE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club?s VO before next accepting to race.
Kapathos	Passing 200 metres, KAPATHOS ((App S Zervan) shifted out and carried SUPER KING (Sunny Chinoy) outwards. App S Zervan has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
Super King (O)	At the start, SUPER KING (Sunny Chinoy) threw his head up and lost ground.
Rave On	After the race, RAVE ON was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind canon.

4	(59)	THE STAR WISH PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 66	1000M

Wild Torronaado

Soon after the start, WILD TORRONAADO ((J Chinoy) shifted in and went across HIDDEN DANGER (DK Ashish) causing the latter to shift in and cause interference to SEA TREASURE (Imran Chisty) which caused a chain reaction, in that SEA TREASURE went on to RING BEARER (S Sunil) who went in and caused interference to INSITE SOUL (SS Baria) who in turn inconvenienced CARAMEL (Vikram Jodha). Jockey J Chinoy has been fined Rs.3000/ for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

Swept Away

Jockey C. Rajendra (SWEPT AWAY) reported loss of his whip at about 200 mts. Since it was first instance of loss of whip during the current Pune Meeting, no action has been initiated against the Jockey beyond reminding him of the notice with regard to the Loss of Whip.

5	(60)	THE EVATINA PLATE TERMS - 3 year old maidens only	1000M

Dear Liza	Soon after the start, DEAR LIZA (TS Jodha) became keen and was held up to avoid clipping the hind heels of ROMP HOME (Sunny Chinoy) and shifted in whereby STAR BLAZE (J Pradeep) was tightened.
Tudor Regent	At the start, TUDOR REGENT (Stephane Breux, dr.8) jumped out awkwardly toward the outside and went on to SPLENDID SECRET (Aadesh Kumar, dr.9) who in turn went on to FOREVER YOUNG (KPG Appu, dr.10) who shifted out and made contact with CHINGARI (Nirmal Jodha, dr.11). Since the incident was accidental no action has been initiated against anyone.
Steely Dan	After the race, STEELY DAN was found to be sore by right fore leg and also had a wolf tooth on the left side of his mouth. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club?s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Monk's Ferrari	After the race, MONK`S FERRARI was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind coronet and KITE RUNNER had a wolf tooth on the right side of her mouth.
Romp Home	Passing 200 metres, ROMP HOME (Sunny Chinoy) dropped back as a result AURARIA (SS Rathore) who was racing behind ROMP HOME, shifted out to avoid clipping ROMP HOME and in the process tightened SPLENDID SECRET (Aadesh Kumar) on to STAR BLAZE (J Pradeep).

6	(61)	THE MAYOR`S TROPHY TERMS - 3 year old maidens only	1800M

Rokeby Venus	An enquiry has been initiated into the comparative performance of ROKEBY VENUS and a report will be submitted shortly.
Lone Monarch	LONE MONARCH (C Rajendra) hung out under pressure in the straight. Trainer P Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.
Tara	After the race, TARA was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club?s VO before next accepting to race. Also, LONE MONARCH was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind fetlock.
Dhrupad	After the race, DHRUPAD was found to be sore by left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club?s V.O. before next accepting to race.

7	(62)	THE F.D. WADIA TROPHY (GR.2) TERMS - 3 years old only	1400M

Arts	While negotiating the final bend, ARTS (Rajinder) hung out and carried DEEP PURPLE (Aadesh Kumar) outwards. Trainer CD Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.
Astral	After the race, ASTRAL was observed to have an abrasion on the left fore canon. ASTRAL (P.Kamlesh) was placed fifth and RED DRAGON (Dashrath Singh) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
Amore Mio	The Sr.V.O. reported that immediately after the race, AMORE MIO was found to have stiffness in her right fore limb. However, after sampling, the filly was examined and found to be sound.

Top Action	At the request of Trainer M.K.Jadhav, TOP ACTION was examined on 8th August, 2009 at 2000 hours and was found to be sore by the right fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club?s VO before next accepting to race.
Excellent Story	On arrival at the start, EXCELLENT STORY (Neeraj Rawal) was examined by the Club?s Sr.V.O. and found to be sore by the right fore leg. As such the filly was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn from the race before coming under the Starter?s Order. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club?s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Theodoros	In the process of stalling, THEODOROS (R.S.Jodha) reared up and fell on his back. The gelding was examined by the Club`s Sr.V.O. and found to be sore by the left hind leg. As such the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn from the race before coming under the Starter?s Order. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club?s V.O. before next accepting to race. Also, Trainer N.B.Chenoy has been asked to give her charge more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
Stud Of Gold	Trainer Hosidar Daji and Jockey J Pradeep were questioned regarding the running and riding of STUD OF GOLD wherein the Jockey had lost his position near 900 metres, had traveled wide and was not vigorous in the straight. Trainer Hosidar Daji stated that the horse had run under his charge for the first time and hence he had instructed the Jockey to ride his own race and let the horse position itself in the race since he had ridden the horse earlier. After having heard their submissions, the Trainer was informed that he should give specific instructions to the Jockey and make himself aware of the running pattern of the horse that he takes charge of. Jockey J Pradeep has been cautioned for being feeble in his riding effort in the straight and has been further informed that he should endeavor to hold his position in a race. After the race, STUD OF GOLD was observed to have a wolf tooth on the left side of his mouth.
