On immediate examination by the Club`s Veterinary Officer, it was found to have sustained superficial injury on left hock. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter`s order. Trainer Mr. Kishan Thomas (deputizing on behalf of Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar) was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club`s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection. Jockey S. A. Gray, the rider of CODE OF HONOUR was fined Rs.3,000/ for not exercising sufficient control on his mount in the final 150 Metres under the use of whip.
