1	(309)	THE ICEBERG PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 0 TO 26	1000M

Ganador	Jockey C.S.Jodha (GANADOR) has been fined Rs.1000/ for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
My Celina	Apprentice A.M.Tograllu (RATNAVALI) reported loss of his whip at about 400 metres from the winning post. On questioning Apprentice A. M. Tograllu stated that his whip got entangled with his reins and he lost his whip. Since this was the 3rd occasion the Apprentice had lost his whip during the current Mumbai Meeting, he has been fined Rs.3000/ as per the notice with regard to the loss of whip. RATNAVALI (A.M.Tograllu) was inclined to lugin in the straight. Trainer Magansingh P. Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
Above All	After the race ABOVE ALL was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Caudillo	Approaching the 200 metres , CAUDILLO (N. Rawal) stumbled on his own and dislodged its rider. The gelding was observed to have sustained sesamoid fracture of the left fore fetlock . Since the condition was irrepairable, the gelding was euthanized on humane ground.

2	(310)	THE STAR PRINCESS PLATE A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46	2000M

Benfica	After the race, BENFICA was observed to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Uruj	URUJ (T.S.Jodha) was slow in the stride, losing about a length at the start.
Premier Diva	Approaching the 300 meters, PREMIER DIVA (Nadeem Alam) stumbled and in an effort to gain her balance, veered to the outside and came in the way of URUJ (T.S.Jodha) who collided and fell dislodging its Rider. BENFICA (Aadesh Kumar) who was racing behind URUJ, stumbled on the fallen horse (URUJ) and also fell dislodging its Rider. Since the incident was accidental no action has been initiated against anyone. The Sr. V.O reported that near 300 metres, PREMIER DIVA suffered incordination of hind quarters, which in turn led to fracture of the left fore fetlock as compensatory reaction and fell. Since the condition was irreparable, the filly was euthanized on humane ground.

3	(311)	THE BEJAN BHARUCHA PLATE - DIV-II A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46	1200M

Bravo Italiano	ARTILLERY (A.J.Nilesh) played up in the stall. The gelding was unloaded and examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. who certified him unfit to race. As such, ARTILLERY was withdrawn from the race before coming under the Starter’s order. Tr.Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter during morning trials, before next accepting to race.
Queens Court	Apprentice A.M.Tograllu (QUEENS COURT) reported loss of his whip at about 200 metres. When questioned, Apprentice A.M.Tograllu stated that the whip slipped out of his hand. Since this was the 4th occasion that the Apprentice had lost his whip, he was reported to the Stewards. The Stewards interviewed App.Tograllu in the above connection and having heard him and viewing the video recording of the incident of the whip fall, held the view that the fall of the whip was accidental. However, this being the fourth time he had lost the whip during the current Mumbai Meeting 2007/08, as per the Calendar Notification, the Stewards decided to suspend his App. Jockey’s license for one race day. The Stewards noted that his App.Jockey’s license already stood suspended w.e.f. 24/07/2008 to 15/08/2008 for an earlier offence on CLASSIC SPIRIT. Therefore, the Stewards resolved that should he apply for a Jockey’s license for the Season 2008/09 the same will be granted to him, however, his license shall stand further suspended for 16th August, 2008 for loss of whip on QUEENS COURT. (Permitted to ride work/mock race).After the race, QUEENS COURT was found to have a wolf tooth on both the sides of her mouth.
Mr Greedy	MR GREEDY (Vikram Walkar) trailed the field.

4	(312)	THE BEJAN BHARUCHA PLATE - DIV-I A Handicap for Horses rated 20 TO 46	1200M

Amberogio	AMBEROGIO (Sunny Chinoy) stumbled on its own at the start. After the race AMBEROGIO and GREEN VALLEY were observed to have broken a blood vessel and are not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. Both the fillies have to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Green Valley	After the race AMBEROGIO and GREEN VALLEY were observed to have broken a blood vessel and are not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. Both the fillies have to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

5	(313)	THE SATINELLO TROPHY TERMS - 3 year old maidens only	1400M

Yankee Lane

Jockey Amyn Merchant (YANKEE LANE) has been severely cautioned for failing to hold his position in the early part of the race. YANKEE LANE (Amyn Merchant) hung out in the straight. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

7	(315)	THE GOOL S. POONAWALLA MILLION (GR. 3) TERMS - 3 years old only	1200M

Flaming Ace	FLAMING ACE (Y.S. Srinath) hung out in the straight. Trainer Karthik G has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.
Aurora Aurealis	AURORA AUREALIS (M.Narredu) was placed fifth and BEE QUICK (Samuel Fargeat) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
Bee Quick	At the start, BEE QUICK (Samuel Fargeat) knuckled under and lost some ground. After the race BEE QUICK was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
