1	(68)	THE HYDROFOIL HANDICAP (DIV-I) A Handicap for Horses rated 1 TO 26	1400M

Le Chocolat	LE CHOCOLAT (Md Sameer) was fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances the filly was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. The Starting Stall Certificate of the filly has been revoked by the Starter.
Sreeputra	SREEPUTRA (S Zervaan) and FRUIT ‘N’ NUT (App Nikhil) arrived late to the start thereby delaying the proceeding of the race. Trs. Patrick Quinn and D Karki were advised to ensure that their charges arrive in time to the start in future.
I Me N Myself	I ME N MYSELF (Gajender Singh) was slow to begin. Jockey Gajender Singh(I ME N MYSELF) when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that he was instructed to place his mount in 3rd/4th position in the early stages of the race, however, in spite of his efforts he was unable to obtain the instructed position and that in his opinion the filly did not have early speed to be placed as was instructed. Tr Mr Vikash Jaiswal corroborated the instructions as stated by the jockey but expressed surprise at the filly being positioned at the rear end of the field. The Stipendiary Stewards decided to enquire further into the matter.
Sweet Suspense	SWEET SUSPENSE (App Hindu Singh) was fractious in its stall.
Baby Come Back	BABY COME BACK (N S Parmar) was slow to begin losing approximately four lengths at the start and thereafter trailed the field home. Tr. Sarfaraz Khan was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial during the hours of morning track work.

3	(70)	THE GOOLAGONG CUP A Handicap for Horses rated 21 TO 46	1100M
			2:00 PM

In The Sunlight	IN THE SUNLIGHT (Md Sameer) was brought to a halt by its rider passing the 300 metres marker. On veterinary examination the colt was found to have sustained a fracture on right fore fetlock hence the colt was euthanised on humanitarian grounds.
Alondra	App Munna Alam, the rider of ALONDRA, was reprimanded for not making adequate effort to prevent his mount from drifting ‘outwards’ in the concluding stages of the race.
Petaloid	PETALOID (App Jorawar Singh) was fractious while being stalled. The Veterinary Officer reported that PETALOID returned with a cut injury on right fore.
Alicante	ALICANTE (Arman Khan) was fractious in its stall.
Comedian	COMEDIAN (Md Imran) which was fractious in its stall, was slow to begin and thereafter trailed the field home. Tr. R W Alford was advised not to accept with his charge until it was capable of a better performance

4	(71)	THE MADRAS RACE CLUB CUP A Handicap for Horses rated 81 & ABOVE	1200M
			2:30 PM

Smooth As Silk	In the concluding stages of the race SMOOTH AS SILK (App B Nikhil) shifted violently ‘outwards’ when placed under pressure and made contact with SANTOS (Dashrath Singh) making progress on its outside. At a subsequent enquiry App B Nikhil was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 2500/ for failing to make adequate effort to keep his mount on a straight path. The apprentice was advised to report to Jockey Coach Mr. P Alford for guidance.
Chala Ja Bachha	CHALA JA BACHHA (N S Parmar) was fractious while being stalled.
Gallop To Glory	Tr Ms Arti Doctor when queried as to the instructions given to Jockey P Kamlesh(Gallop To Glory) stated that he was to position her charge wherever comfortable and to do his best thereafter. Jockey Kamlesh corroborated the instructions and stated that the gelding did not show initial speed and failed to respond to his urgings in the final stages of the race. The Stipendiary Stewards after reviewing the earlier running pattern of GALLOP TO GLORY decided to enquire further into its running in this race.

SUZANNA (S Zervan) was fractious in its stall.

Lord Of Light

LORD OF LIGHT (Vinay Jaiswal), SANJIT (Kavraj Singh) and FLY WITH THE WIND (P S Chouhan) were fractious while being stalled. Jockey Vinay Jaiswal, the rider of LORD OF LIGHT, reported that his mount was inclined to run ‘out’ through out the race and when approaching the 600 metres the bit used on the colt ran through its mouth as such he was unable to ride his mount to complete advantage. Tr. E Bhungard was advised to be more careful regarding the fitting of bridles on his charges in future.

			4:00 PM

Layali	LAYALI (N S Parmar) was fractious while being stalled. Jockey N S Parmar, the rider of LAYALI, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/ for excessive use of the whip (1st offence). The Veterinary Officer reported that LAYALI returned to the unsaddling enclosure without its left hind shoe.
Argalia	ARGALIA (C Alford) and DON MAGNIFICO (I Khan) were fractious in their respective stalls.
The Great Hannible	Some distance after the start THE GREAT HANNIBLE (App Rajinder Singh, drawn 2) was inconvenienced when COMMELINA (P Kamlesh, drawn 4) was carried ‘inwards’ by ARGALIA (C Alford, drawn 5).
