Trainer Prasanna Kumar was asked to get his charge certified fit by the Club`s Veterinary Officer before accepting next with. An Objection was lodged by Jockey L.Alex Rozario, the rider of RODNEY placed 2nd by the Judge against Jockey A Sandesh, the rider of KNOTTY LEGEND placed 1st by the Judge for `At the 300 metres marker KNOTTY LEGEND (A Sandesh)started to tighten me up touched me and bumped my horse.My horse scraped the rails,had to drop my hands and had to pull out and my horse covered three lengths otherwise I would have been a certain winner`.The Stewards interviewed both the Jockeys and Trainer Irfan Ghatala who was present as a Spokesperson to Jockey L.Alex Rozario,and viewing the CCTV replay of the race several times and hearing the submissions made by both jockeys decided to overule the objection and the order of placings remain unaltered as declared by the Judge. Jockey A Sandesh was fined Rs 10,000/ for careless riding on his mount KNOTTY LEGEND for causing interference to RODNEY (L.Alex Rozario) on his inside near the 250 metres from the post.
