AxlrodAfter the race, Jockey P. Vinod (AXLROD) reported that approaching the 600 metres his mount was inclined outwards despite his efforts until passing the 400 metres. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
MalakhiJockey A. Sandesh (MALAKHI) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being the first offence during the current Pune Meeting 2024, he has been fined Rs.3,000/.
Willy WonkaaWILLY WONKAA (S. A. Amit, dr.4) lost about a length at the start.
ToofaanAfter the race, TOOFAAN was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore and was observed to have an injury on right hind pastern. The gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

Divine HopeAfter the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (DIVINE HOPE) reported that approaching the 1300 metres his mount shied away thereby carrying HIGHGROUND (C. S. Jodha) outwards.

4 (36) THE PRIDE GROUP INDEPENDENCE MILLION

Booster ShotApproaching the 500 metres, due to a tightly packed field, MULTIVERSE (A. Sandesh) was observed to have clipped the heels of BOOSTER SHOT (Askshay Kumar) thereby losing its stride and had to be checked. An objection was lodged by Jockey A. Sandesh (MULTIVERSE) placed 3rd by the Judge against Jockey Akshay Kumar (BOOSTER SHOT) placed 1st by the Judge, reason being, near the 500 metres, there was a gap on the outside of Akshay Kumar that A. Sandesh was taking and at that time Akshay Kumar came out sharply, as such, A. Sandesh had to check his mount thereby breaking his rhythm and subsequently losing a certain win. The Stewards having watched the race in conjunction with the Stipendiary Stewards and acting on their own observations of the race decided to overrule the objection and the placings remained unaltered as declared by the Judge.
PhenomPHENOM (N. S. Parmar, dr. 4) lost about three lengths at the start. Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and to show the gelding to the satisfaction of the starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (PHENOM) reported that he was held up for room until passing the 400 metres. Further, he stated that his mount was hangingin in the straight, despite his efforts. As such, Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
MultiverseApproaching the 500 metres, due to a tightly packed field, MULTIVERSE (A. After questioning and not being satisfied, Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been suspended for one race day i.e. on 7th September 2024 for careless riding (permitted to ride work / mock race).
