Arcobaleno	ARCOBALENO (Ashhad Asbar) refused to raise a gallop on jumping out of the gates and thereafter took no practical part in the race. The Starting Stall Certificate of ARCOBALENO has been revoked by the Starter.
Ansible	ANSIBLE (Afzal Khan, drawn 3) jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’ causing interference to MIRROR IMAGE (B Mahesh, drawn 5) who in turn went onto ASMODEUS (V Jaiswal, drawn 6).
My Dream(O)	At the request of Jockey D K Ashish, MY DREAM was resaddled at the start.

Certain Smile

b f CERTAIN SMILE (Amandeep Singh) was slow to begin and ran detached from the field. Tr. D M David when questioned regarding the erratic performance of his charge acknowledged that the filly regularly raced in this manner and believed that it was due to the frequent cycle of its coming into season. This was substantiated by the Sr. Veterinary Officer under whose care the filly has been treated. However, in view of the filly’s pattern of running, Tr. D M David was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.

Grand Madame

GRAND MADAME (B Prakash) was difficult to load thereby delaying the start of the race.

Lil Miss Sunshine

LIL MISS SUNSHINE (M Narredu) and DYNAMIC MOVE (Md. Islam) were very difficult to load thereby delaying the start of the race.

5	(151)	THE PORTUGAL CUP A Handicap for Horses rated 40 TO 70 - (5 YEARS OLD & UPWARD)	1200M

Glorious Knight	DANCE MAESTRO (Afzal Khan) was very fractious in its stall.
Abaya	ADALIRA (Md. Islam) and SANGOMA (A Qureshi) were difficult to load thereby delaying the start of the race. ADALIRA (Md. Islam) drifted to the outer portion of the race track in the final 100 metres of the race.
Master Marvel	The Sr. Veterinary Officer reported that MASTER MARVEL (V Jaiswal) sustained a cut injury on its left hind.
Dazzling Win	DAZZLING WIN (App Nelson Maseyk) ran detached from the field. In view of its poor performance Tr. Jasbir Singh was informed not to accept with his charge until it is shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.
Flemenco Star	FLEMENCO STAR (Asghar) was slow to begin and thereafter trailed the field home. In view of its poor performance Tr. H S Bath was informed not to accept with his charge untill shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.

Clapton

CLAPTON (App Kishore Kadam) was troublesome in its stall. The Sr. Veterinary Officer reported that CLAPTON (App Kishore Kadam) sustained a cut injury in its mouth.

Mythical Star	On the morning of Friday, 27th March, 2009 MYTHICAL STAR which was accepted to run in the above race, was examined by the Sr. Veterinary Officer and found lame on its right fore, as such, the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. J J Stephens was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit to race by the Sr. Veterinary Officer.
Great Heart	GREAT HEART (Ashhad Asbar) and ISLAND WARRIOR (Md. Islam) drifted ‘outwards’ during the final stages of the race.
Alamgir	ALAMGIR (S Paswam) and FIT FOR FRAY (Pawan Sharma) were troublesome in their respective stalls.
Magic Mantra	MAGIC MANTRA (V Jaiswal) and MYSTRO (Afzal Khan) drifted ‘out’ under pressure during the final 400 metres of the race.
Starlite	STARLITE (App Amandeep Singh) and GOLDEN CHAIN (App B Srinivas Rao) were slow to begin losing approximate two lengths at the start. For running his charge STARLITE (App Amandeep Singh) in shoes other than those declared, Tr. E Bhungard was fined a sum of Rs. 500/.
Italian Affair	ITALIAN AFFAIR (V Aharwal) threw her head up as the start was effected and for some distance thereafter refused to raise a fluent gallop. In view of her behaviour, Tr. J J Stephens was informed not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.
