Patrick Quinn and Jockey Nikhil Naidu when questioned regarding the running and riding of b m TIME, the Trainer stated that this was the mare’s first run under his charge and even in track work, it did not show any ‘spark’ as such he had instructed the Jockey to place his mount in 4th/5th position and do his best thereafter. Jockey Nikhil Naidu corroborated the Trainer’s instructions and further stated that the mare was not galloping fluently in spite of giving it full support and was tending to run an in and out race. Not being satisfied with the explanations tendered, both Tr. Patrick Quinn and Jockey Nikhil Naidu were fined a sum of Rs. 15,000/ each for the unsatisfactory running and riding of TIME. |

Jockey R S Bhati corroborated with the Trainer’s instructions and stated that his mount was struggling, not responding to his urgings due to the kick back and only started responding when he pulled him out in the straight. Not being satisfied with the explanations tendered, Jockey R S Bhati was fined a sum of Rs. 15,000/ for the indifferent handling of his mount, with particular reference to his riding from about 500 metres till about the final 200 metres of the race. |
