Do you agree that Turf Authorities of India must step up their marketing game to attract a younger crowd. Right now, the sport is mostly backed by an ageing audience, which isn’t sustainable long-term?

When Logic Pulls Up Lame in Racing
When Logic Pulls Up Lame in Racing Horse racing prides itself on logic, yet repeatedly trips over it when it matters most. In the cases of Bezalel and Fynbos, enquiries were ordered, favourites failed, jockeys were suspended, but the most obvious step was skipped. No veterinary examination. Decisions were delivered with confidence, evidence was assumed rather than gathered, and logic was expected to cooperate. In racing, certainty often precedes investigation, and consistency is treated as optional.
Five Million Attend, Old Problems Remain
British racing can boast attendances crossing five million in 2025, but the figure flatters to deceive. Beneath the headline lies a sport grappling with diluted quality, shrinking fields, fading journalism, bookmaker-driven programming and leadership churn that delivers little change. Many of the concerns raised two decades ago by the late Julian “Mr Angry” Wilson remain stubbornly unresolved, leaving racing stuck between cosmetic growth and structural decline.
Opus Dei Wins While Punters Struggle with the Puzzle
Opus Dei finally found the winning post when it mattered, landing Wednesday’s Mumbai feature with authority over a mile. What followed was a familiar Mahalaxmi tale of misplaced confidence, stablemates upsetting betting logic, long-absent winners resurfacing, and heavily backed favourites finding inventive ways to disappoint. For punters, it was less about dividends and more about lessons, most of them already learnt but never quite absorbed.
