1 (7) THE NO REGRETS HANDICAP

 DRD was fractious to be stalled thereby delaying the proceedings of the start. Tr.Sabeel Shariff was advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial. DRD jumped out awkwardly from the gates.

Angel Light
 ANGEL LIGHT and SWIFT LADY were slow to begin. Jockey Arman Khan, the rider of ANGEL LIGHT, when questioned regarding the riding of his mount stated that “I was instructed to take a good jump, give the mare some time to settle down in a position wherever possible and to do my best. However, the mare was trying to hang out in the straight and I did my best”. On questioning Tr. Sabeel Shariff corroborated the Jockey’s statement. However, to a query whether he was satisfied with the riding efforts of Jockey Arman Khan on ANGEL LIGHT in the straight, the Trainer could give no plausible explanation. Not being satisfied with the explanations tendered, Tr. Sabeel Shariff and Jockey Arman Khan were fined a sum of Rs. 50,000/ each for the unsatisfactory running and riding of b m ANGEL LIGHT. The Trainer was further warned to ensure that his charges are run and ridden in such a manner that leaves no room for query.
Swift Lady
 ANGEL LIGHT and SWIFT LADY were slow to begin.

3 (9) THE EASTERN STAR HANDICAP

Pyrgos
 Jockey P Tejeshwar, the rider of PYRGOS, when questioned regarding the riding of his mount stated that he was instructed to place his mount in 2nd/3rd position and to do his best. However, the gelding was hanging out on entering the straight when asked for an effort. Tr. Aashay Doctor when questioned regarding his riding instructions to the Jockey and whether he was satisfied with the riding efforts of the Jockey in the straight, corroborated his riding instructions. However, he was of the opinion that had the Jockey made more efforts to correct the gelding’s drifting out by changing his whip hand to left or put the stick down and rode out his mount, the gelding could have possibly responded better. Not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey P Tejeshwar, the Jockey was fined a sum of Rs. 25,000/ for the indifferent handling of his mount. Tr. Aashay Doctor was warned to ensure that his charges are run and ridden in such a manner that leaves no room for query.
Xtravagant Star
 XTRAVAGANT STAR which arrived late to the start, was very fractious in its stall, reared up and got stuck on the side bars of the gate, had to be taken out, checked by the Veterinary Officer, declared fit to race and was reloaded. Tr. Rutherford Alford was once again warned to ensure that his charges arrive on time in future and also advised not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial. XTRAVAGANT STAR rolled onto the running rails passing the 150 metres more so under the use of the whip. Jockey P Sai Kumar was advised to be more careful in future.
Tropical Lady
 b f TROPICAL LADY, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on 1st October, 2023 and found to have swelling on left fore cannon. Under the circumstances the filly was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. C Alford was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

4 (10) THE ARGIANO CUP

 Jockey S Saqlain, the rider of BASHARAT, reported that his mount was slow to jump out from the gates.

5 (11) THE HOKAIDO HANDICAP

Eastside
 Tr. D M David was reprimanded for the late arrival of his charge EASTSIDE to the start thereby delaying the proceedings of the race. The trainer was further advised to ensure that his charges arrive on time in future.
Gael
 GAEL which was difficult to load, was slow to begin. Tr. C Alford was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again. Post race endoscopy of dk b c GAEL revealed that the colt was suffering from laryngeal paralysis.
Lion Queen
 For once again failing to produce the declared colours in respect of his charge b m LION QUEEN, Tr. Sabeel Shariff was fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/. Further, the Trainer was charged a sum of Rs. 500/ for using emergency colours “ALL BLACK” on his charge LION QUEEN. An enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of b m LION QUEEN.
Lord Lucifer
 LORD LUCIFER was fractious in its stall.
Tender Heart
 TENDER HEART was slow to begin. Jockey Vinay Jaiswal, the rider of TENDER HEART, reported that his mount was not galloping fluently and he could do no better than where it finished. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was advised not to accept with his charge until it was capable of a better performance.

6 (12) THE MERCURY HANDICAP
