Iron Duke
 IRON DUKE which was fractious in its stall, fly jumped out from the gates. IRON DUKE drifted out in the concluding stages of the race, stumbled and was observed to break down. On immediate veterinary examination the gelding was found to have suffered from right shoulder fracture and was euthanized on humanitarian grounds.
Lightning Charlie
 Jockey Arman Khan (LIGHTNING CHARLIE) was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for excessive use of the whip (1st infringement).
Lineupandcollect
 The saddle used on LINEUPANDCOLLECT shifted towards the left side during the running of the race. Tr. Patrick Quinn was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/ for faulty saddling.
Diamond Gold
 DIAMOND GOLD was slow to begin and thereafter was slow into its strides losing considerable ground at the start. Tr. Dr. Anil Kumar was informed not to accept with his charge until shown to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier trial.
Fair Counsel
 FAIR COUNSEL was difficult to load.

3 (3) THE PRETTY WOMAN HANDICAP

 BY THE BOOK was extremely difficult to load. Tr. Neil Darashah was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again.
Emperor Ashoka
 Jockey P Tejeshwar (EMPEROR ASHOKA) reported that his mount was hanging in from about the 600 metres of the race, was noted.
Shai
 SHAI was extremely fractious at the gates, refused to be stalled in spite of repeated attempts, reared up and fell over. Under the circumstances the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. The Starting Stall Certificate has been revoked by the Starter. As the gelding has repeatedly been withdrawn at the starting gates and has not improved its gate habits over a period of an year, Tr. Sabeel Shariff has been advised to retire the gelding from racing.

4 (4) THE HILLIARD CUP

5 (5) THE SECRET FIRE HANDICAP

Leather Back
 LEATHER BACK was difficult to load. Tr. Neil Darashah and Jockey J H Arul when questioned regarding the running and riding of LEATHER BACK, the trainer stated that he had instructed the Jockey to ‘tuck his mount in’ and to do his best in the race from about the final bend, was corroborated by the Jockey. J H Arul was advised that while accepting his explanation of following the Trainer’s instructions, it is expected that he shows more acumen while positioning his mounts and being alert to judging the change in the pace of the race.

Tender Heart
 Jockey Vinay Jaiswal (TENDER HEART) reported that his mount was squeezed out passing the 900 metres and dropped out of the race thereafter till well into the straight, was noted.

6 (6) THE PIATO HANDICAP

 KAITLAN, MONARCHY and ANGEL LIGHT were slow to begin. a) KAITLAN returned lame on right fore.
Monarchy
 MONARCHY was fractious in its stall. KAITLAN, MONARCHY and ANGEL LIGHT were slow to begin. b) MONARCHY returned lame on right fore.
Impermanence
 IMPERMANENCE was observed to have been eased up passing the 250 metres and finished the race detached from the field. Tr. Shafiq Khan was advised to get his charge examined by the Veterinary Officer and not to accept with it till capable of a better performance.
Angel Light
 KAITLAN, MONARCHY and ANGEL LIGHT were slow to begin.
