The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended the Jockey’s Licence granted to Jockey S.Hussain for four (4) race days of BWM 202425 i.e., 18/01/2025, 25/01/2025, 26/01/2025 & 31/01/2025 as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Dangerous Riding on his mount ELVEDEN (he was permitted to ride work) and was informed of his right to appeal. |

An enquiry was held on 05th January, 2025 by the Stipendiary Stewards into the interference caused by Jockey S.Hussain, the rider of ELVEDEN in the above race. “In that he shifted “in” and caused severe interference to ULTIMATE STRIKER (Anish Anamo Hangal) on his inside passing the 450 Metres, whereby Jockey Anish Anamo Hangal was dislodged from his mount”. ULTIMATE STRIKER (Anish Anamo Hangal) was examined by the Club`s Veterinary Officer immediately after the race and was found to have sustained an irreparable fracture of left shoulder (scapula). Hence, it was euthanized. |
