1 (137) THE GRIDIRON HANDICAP

 The Veterinary Officer reported that N R I SECRET and YUVI returned lame on their right and left fores respectively. Trs. Paramjit S Jubbal and Vikash Jaiswal were informed not to accept with their charges until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Angel Light
 ANGEL LIGHT and DANCING QUEEN missed the jump. Tr. Sabeel Shariff and Jockey Vishal Bunde when questioned regarding the running of ANGEL LIGHT, the Trainer stated that he had instructed the Jockey to position his mount in 4th/5th position and to do his best in the straight. The Jockey corroborated the instructions and stated that he did his best on his mount. On the morning of 7th March, 2025 ANGEL LIGHT was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be lame on left fore. While Tr. Sabeel Shariff was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer, Jockey Vishal Bunde was informed that he was being let off with just a warning for failing to improve position on his mount in the initial and middle stages of the race as the mare had been reported to be lame.
Dancing Queen
 ANGEL LIGHT and DANCING QUEEN missed the jump. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal and Jockey Varun when questioned regarding the running of DANCING QUEEN, the Trainer stated that he had instructed the Jockey to position his mount in 4th/5th position and to do his best in the straight. The Jockey while corroborating the instructions, stated that the mare lacked initial speed and was not travelling as he would have liked it too, she could only finish on in the concluding stages of the race. The Stipendiary Stewards not being satisfied with the explanations tendered, Jockey Varun was fined a sum of Rs. 10,000/ for failing to improve position to ride to instructions thereby placing his mount at a disadvantage.
Yuvi
 The Veterinary Officer reported that N R I SECRET and YUVI returned lame on their right and left fores respectively. Trs. Paramjit S Jubbal and Vikash Jaiswal were informed not to accept with their charges until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

 The Veterinary Officer was requested to examine b g MULTISTARRER and b m MONEYCATCHER and submit his reports. On examination both the gelding and the mare were found to be trotting sound.
Moneycatcher
 MONEYCATCHER arrived late to the start thereby delaying the proceedings of the race. Tr. Patrick Quinn was once again fined a sum of Rs. 10,000/ for the late arrival of his charge to the gate. Jockey R Vaibhav (MONEYCATCHER) reported that his mount was inclined to hang out from about the 1000 metres of the race. The Veterinary Officer was requested to examine b g MULTISTARRER and b m MONEYCATCHER and submit his reports. On examination both the gelding and the mare were found to be trotting sound. Post race endoscopy of MONEYCATCHER revealed that the mare suffered from EIPH Grade III. Tr. Patrick Quinn was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Sky Hawk
 The Veterinary Officer reported that SKY HAWK returned with a gum injury.

 TUSCANY planted, taking no practical part in the race. The Starting Stall Certificate has been revoked by the Starter. As the mare had behaved similarly in its last start, Tr. Patrick Quinn was advised not to accept with his charge till passed by the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.

 KSEPIMAN came in soon after jump out causing interference to ASTRAL GOLD and PRINCESS PEACH. Jockey Kirtish Bhagat was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for the interference.
Astral Gold
 KSEPIMAN came in soon after jump out causing interference to ASTRAL GOLD and PRINCESS PEACH. Jockey Kirtish Bhagat was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for the interference. ASTRAL GOLD finished the race detached from the field. The Veterinary Officer was requested to examine the filly and submit his report. On examination the filly was found to be lame on right hind. Tr. Dr. Anil Kumar was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
Global Fashion
 GLOBAL FASHION which was fractious to be stalled, was slow to begin. PRINCESS PEACH was slow to begin.
Polki
 POLKI jumped outwards.
Princess Peach

 SATIVUR drifted out during the concluding stages of the race. The Veterinary Officer reported that :

 For accepting with his charge AABUSHAN while under medication, Tr. Patrick Quinn was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/. Subsequently the colt was permitted to be withdrawn from the race.

 The Veterinary Officer reported that LUCRETIUS returned lame on left fore. Tr. Rutherford Alford was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

 FULCRUM was observed to travel wide from about the 600 metres and swung wide round the bend. Tr. Shafiq Khan has been advised to get his charge examined by the Veterinary Officer and to take appropriate remedial measures.
