Shafiq Khan and App Ankush when questioned regarding the running and riding of HONEY CAKE, the Trainer stated that he had instructed the Apprentice to go to the front if he finds himself comfortably placed there and to do his best thereafter. The Apprentice stated that he was instructed to place his mount in 2nd/3rd position or go to the front if he finds himself at the helm without chasing the other front runners. App Ankush was reprimanded in the presence of his Master Tr. Dr. Anil Kumar for riding an injudicious race in that he let his mount race too freely in front resulting in the mare having nothing to offer rounding the final bend. Tr. Dr. Anil Kumar was advised to be more discreet in declaring the apprentice henceforth. The Veterinary Officer was requested to check HONEY CAKE and submit his report. On examination the mare was found to be trotting sound. |
