| | An objection was lodged by Jockey Faiz, the rider of CHOICE placed fourth by the Judge against Jockey Pavan, the rider of SHEEBA placed third for, “From the final 400 Metres, the rider of SHEEBA bumped me and I could not ride out and costed me a certain place”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the Race and examined Jockey Faiz and Jockey Pavan. After due deliberations and after repeatedly watching the CCTV replay of the Race, the Stewards decided to Overrule the objection. Jockey Pavan, the rider of SHEEBA was fined Rs.5,000/ for not maintaining a straight course thereby shifting out and taking out the horses on his outside viz. CHOICE (Faiz) and IGNORANCE IS BLISS (Abhishek Mhatre) between the 250 Metres and the final 100 Metres. SHEEBA (Pavan) sustained multiple small cuts inside left hind pastern. |
