| | On being questioned regarding running and riding of DIVIT, Tr. Zulfiquar Khan stated that he had instructed the rider to sit 2nd/3rd and if the horse hits front on its own then sit within 2/3 lengths of the field and to do his best in the straight, however he was not satisfied the jockey’s riding as he travelled on the midcourse for no apparent reason and started pushing from 800 meters. Jockey Jai Prakash corroborated with the instructions but stated that jockey travelling on his inside was shouting therefore he opted to travel on the mid course but he had no plausible explanation to push the horse from 800 meters and take undue lead in a long distance race. Not being satisfied with his explanation he was fined Rs. 10,000/ for not following trainer’s instructions and improper riding. |
