App Hasib Alam was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/ for the same and master Trainer Mr. Vijay Singh was advised to guide his apprentice to be more careful in future. b m SPIRITUAL (Afzal Khan) was observed to drop back from about the 700 metres, eased up by its rider passing the final bend with the jockey dismounting at the distance post. The Veterinary Officer reported immediately after the race that the mare suffered from hindquarter lameness with signs of paraplegia. Subsequently the mare was given all possible veterinary care with necessary management but failed to recover and as such, was euthanized on humanitarian grounds in the evening the same day. |
