| 6th on the extreme outside till turn failed to improve.Incidents: CIELO REY (Suraj Narredu) was stalled in the outside draw (draw No.10) as the front shutters of draw No.4 was broken due to the fractious behaviour of the gelding inside the stall (in accordance with Rule 156 ( b ) of the BTC Rules of Racing ).
When questioned Jockey Suraj Narredu reported that CEILO REY was very fractious at the gates and had broken through the front shutters and galloped riderless. The horse was then reloaded in stall 10. The Jockey also stated as his instructions were to ride well up with the pace but found it difficult initially as he was restalled in draw 10 and also the gelding did not respond well in the straight. He also stated that he had advised the trainer to have CEILO REY`s back checked as it had ducked through the gates. His explanations were noted. Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g CIELO REY. |

| led from the start and was ridden out all along the straight warded off Astral Flash quite well at the end.Incidents: The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. at their meetings held on 8th January 2010, 21st January 2010 and 23rd January 2010, considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of the drugs 5alphaestrane3beta, 17alphadiol and Nandrolone prohibited substances in the urine sample taken from b g D`ARTAGNAN after the horse placed First in the above race on 24th May 2009. The horse trained by Mr. S. Padmanabhan. They interviewed trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan on the above said dates. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Trainer`s Licence granted to trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan from 522010 to 432010 (both days inclusive) and fine him a sum of Rs.15,000/ (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules (in respect of his charge D`ARTAGNAN in the above race) as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading "Medication and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and AntiDoping Control" and further in terms of Rule X of the said Rules reading as follows: "The trainer is always responsible for the protection and security of the horse in his care. Trainers are warned that they will be held responsible if an examination of a horse, results in the finding of any prohibited substances". |
