Later, on examination by the Veterinary Officer, it was confirmed to be welt marks. The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into this incident and a report will be submitted shortly. An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of SEVENTH MILE and a report will be submitted shortly. The Sr.V.O. reported that SEVENTH MILE showed signs of distress after returning from the race, The filly recovered after cold water hosing. The filly was found to be sound in the trot.
