The trainer stated that his instruction to the Jockey was go to front, do his best in the straight. The Jockey while corroborating the statement of the trainer added that his mount stopped galloping completely in the final 150 Metres. Their explanations were noted for future reference. The horse was subjected to veterinary examination. On examination, it was found to have sustained superficial injury on right hock inside. |

| | An enquiry was held on 4th December, 2022 by the Stipendiary Steward for the above race into the interference caused by Jockey Ahsan Qureshi, the rider of NIKOLINA in that he shifted `in` and caused severe interference to the horses on his inside viz; LISTEN TO ME (Neeraj Rawal), RORITO (Tousif Khan) and SOLID POWER (V.R.Jagadeesh) approaching 1200 Metres. The Stipendiary Steward thereafter suspended the Jockey’s Licence granted to Ahsan Qureshi with effect from 14122022 to 23122022 (both days inclusive) as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Careless Riding on his mount NIKOLINA (he was permitted to ride work) and was informed of his right to appeal. NIKOLINA (Ahsan Qureshi) was subjected to veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. |
