Jockey Dashrath Singh (FIREWINGS) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. On being questioned after the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh stated that his mount hung out throughout the race and he had used the whip as a corrective measure, as such, no action was initiated against Jockey Dashrath Singh, however, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. The Equine Hospital reported that FIREWINGS had injuries to both eyes (left eye – corneal ulcer and opacity and right eye – sore). |

After the race, CARIBOU was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. |
