Your Royal Majesty slams creditable field
20-May-2018: Pesi Shroff trained Your Royal Majesty who had failed to win on this track when he had come three years ago, broke the jinx when he slammed a creditable field in the Gr 3 Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Cup, a terms race for four-year-olds and over, the feature event of Sunday’s Bangalore races. Races finally began after many hiccups, but the authorities thoughtlessly kept the same card the declarations for which were over more than a week ago.

Castlebridge finds his bearings over a sprint
09-Jun-2018: Bharath Singh trained Castlebridge who had lost his way after losing to Rochester in the Ruia Trophy over 2000 metres, bounced back to win the 1200 meters Shapoorji Pallonji Million, a terms race for four-year-olds and over, the feature event of Saturday’s races in great style. The progeny of Burden of Proof whose forte is speed easily overhauled the long-time leader in the final 100 metres and skipped clear to win with a measure of comfort.

10-Jun-2018: There were no surprises in store in the 1600 metres Krishnaraja Wadiyar Cup, a terms race for four-year-olds and over, the feature event of Sunday’s races. Kambaku hammers opposition in Mayor’s Cup
16-Jun-2018: Arjun Mangalorkar trained Kambaku steamrolled the opposition in the 2000 metres Mayor’s Cup, a race for horses rated 60 and above, the feature event of Saturday’s Bangalore races. Kambaku towered over the rest by virtue of his past performances but surprisingly Reunion enjoyed favouritism due to the grossly overrated belief in the ability of the Hyderabad challenger.

Punjabi Girl defies expectations
17-Jun-2018: Sulaiman Attaollahi trained Punjabi Girl defied expectations by winning the Gr 1 Fillies Championship stakes, the first classic of the season on Sunday after a pathetic performance in the lead-up race. The transformation came as a surprise because when Punjabi Girl ran last time out, the conditions were similar and hence the disproportionate improved performance could only be explained to the slapping of blinkers.
