Today`s Mysore racing was punters nightmare. Majority of races were dominated by flukes. Punters were hit hard. Racing is turning out to be pretty bad and the authorities need to do something about this.

top contenders for the classicsCruaz
Sep 02, 2010
With the classics fast approaching, what would be the frontline contenders for the pune derby and the indian classics thence. With horses like Beautiful Stranger, Dear henry, Star Warrior falling by the wayside. Id really like the admin to do a write up into the horses that would be in the reckoning in the classics.

Vinayak all set to become private trainer for Wadhawan from Mumbai seasonTurf Informer
Sep 01, 2010
This is the story which appeared in Mumbai Mirror, written by Usman Rangila

Trainer Vinayak Gaikwad, who trained horses owned by former RWITC chairman Khushroo Dhunjibhoy and his associates for over fifteen years, is all set to join Housing Development & Infrastructure Limited (HDIL) chief Rakesh Kumar Wadhawan as a private trainer in Western India.

It is reliably learnt that the terms offered by Wadhawan for joining his camp were too tempting for Vinayak to refuse.

Wadhawan, incidentally, has invested heavily in thoroughbred horses in the last few years and has placed them in the care of various professionals at all major racing centres. However, a larger chunk of his string remains in training at the RWITC mainly with CD Katrak and SK Sunderji but he was on the lookout recently for someone who would work exclusively for him.

Amicable parting

Confirming this development Dhunjibhoy said, “Yes it’s true that Vinayak is joining Wadhawan. The separation was absolutely amicable and in fact I’m proud that someone else has thought so highly of him to make such a generous offer which I could not dream of matching. I have encouraged Vinayak to accept the offer and wish him the best of luck. He has worked for me loyally for about eighteen years and I do hope his new employers will treat him with the respect he deserves.”

Vinayak had joined Dhunjibhoy after a returning from a short stint at Singapore in the early 90’s and struck a successful alliance with him. Vinayak trained many classic winners for Dhunjibhoy but Indictment, the Indian Triple Crown winner in 1998, was easily the best horse trained by him for his patron.

public pulse in pathetic shaperakesh
Sep 01, 2010
Several times I said that the public pulse forum is in pathetic state..The admin replies are fantastic and no one can match.Public pulse can become really pulse of racing public in our country only when the present format changes. The present format is non user friendly..There is no necessity to carry out the matter..Pls mention the subject title and see the wonders...

Admin: Just wait for 10 days and you will see the changes which you will surely appreciate. It will also have search facility so that you can go back in time and search by name, topic etc

The best horse racing website in the countryManinder Singh
Sep 01, 2010
Racingpulse is the only website in the country to dwell on various facets of racing other than expanding the results and calling it reviews. Racingpulse has become an everyday habit with us because we get to read something new each day, be it getting news about pedigree, breaking stories or happenings at race courses. Racingpulse also gives race review ahead of the other websites. Racingpulse is a top notch website and in fact the only comprehensive website on horse racing in India. We are grateful to all those involved in bringing out such a fabulous website.

Div.1 & Div.2a.k.
Sep 01, 2010
Dear sir,
What is Div.1 & Div.2, On what basis the horses are selected for both the Divisions

Admin: Different horses follow different methods. In Bangalore, the best horses come in Div I and the lesser performed horses in Div II. If the same owners horses are there, then they get placed in two divisions. This is not the system in other centres.

Interesting series indeedKupender Reddy

The off beat stories by Sharan Kumar are interesting to read. Having been new to racing, I was not aware so many behind the scene activities. Last week, you highlighted the strange ways of communication used by professionals to convey information about their horses when they are made to tie their tounge by the connections of horses. This weeik`s racing anecdotes make for a wonderful reading. I hope we will get many more stories of similar kind. They are a big departure from the routine stuff that we get day in and out in most websites.

CORAL GABLES RECORD???Spiritofracing
Aug 31, 2010
Well done D`Silva for keeping Coral GABLES fit as a fiddle. Now he is only 2 wins away from breaking the great BAKHTAWAR`S record which is 32 wins WHICH WAS TRAINED BY Mr S.M.Shah..Will he do that before winter 2011 (after he has to retire compulsary reasons best know to Hyderabad race club & I cannot understand the logic behind this if the horse is fit he should be allowed to race) .But Hrc HAS IT`S OWN RULES ..Anyway well done Leo...

Admin: There are a number of horses in India which have won more races but Coral Gables stands out among the consistent horses by virtue of his acheivement. Onnu Onnu Onnu won a total of 34 races in his career. In Chennai, there are half a dozen horses which have crosse this mark.

Is Black Jack, a classic horse in the making?Rakesh
Aug 30, 2010
Black Jack made his debut and beat the opposition pointless in adverse underfoot condtions. No doubt he was well prepared but his style suggested that he can make a mark at higher level. What was striking was the ease with which he quickened and left the field stranded.

Long cards detrimental to punters and race clubRamesh
Aug 30, 2010
RWITC always frames cards in excess of 10 and this is detrimental to both the club and punters. While the club has to pay out excess stake money, punters get the rough end of the stick as most of these races comprise horses of inferior merit and results go topsy turvy. Ask any punter; he will detest long cards. RWITC should frame not more than eight to nine races and they can make exception on very big race days. I am sure all race goers are in agreement with this suggestion.

Vinayak may become private trainer for WadhawanTurf INformer
Aug 30, 2010
There is strong likelihood of Vinayak becoming a private trainer for Rakesh Kumar Wadhawan. As per the talk doing the rounds is that Vinayak has agreed to take over Wadhawan`s horses. Only the formalities of terms and conditions seem to remain. It is in the finalisation stage. Vinayak becoming an exclusive trainer for Wadhawan does not mean he will not train with Cooji Katrak, Sunderji and the rest. May be there will be a larger concentration of horses with Vinayak. Vinayak has reportedly informed K N Dhunjibhoy for whom he was a private trainer for long and now everything seems set for a change as the advent of Pesi Shroff has relegated Vinayak to secondary role for his long time employer.

Mysore racing turning punters nightmareRameshwar
Aug 30, 2010
The Mysore mini season during summer was quite good. Racing was confined to locally based horses. But now the main season sees horses from Bangalore in action and most of these horses belong to stables whose intentions cannot be known. This was evident in last week`s racing where it was tough to find winners. The mix of Mysore based horses along with Bangalore horses is turning out to be a dangerous potion.
